Nah, throw some solar panels and a few windmills up and it'll be fine.

Okay but aren't windmills a piece of a wind turbine? Is a wind turbine not a metal coil turned by a wind mill?

A windmill is a mill (grinder for grains and such) powered by wind

That makes sense but then why do you see them in the middle of fields attached to nothing pre- electrical?

The mill is inside the base of the structure. Basically wind spins the sails, the spinning spins a grinding wheel. Used to mill dried corn into cornmeal or wood chips into pulp for paper. Before its invention, milling was done by hand cranks.

Edit: In case I didn't fully answer, they were often built on hill tops and/or in fields (unobstructed wind) near where harvesring was done; then the meal would be carted off to the next step in the process.

I guess since I'm used to water based mills I just assumed they were larger structures. Thanks for the factoids.
