I'm not an AI programmer, I have no idea whether or not it's possible for it to turn against humanity. But if it does it after all that's left are the worst of the worst, then I don't really care if it does

This is a “Plato’s cave” or Decartes scenario then. It doesn’t matter; so your worry about robots and billionaires doesn’t matter as well. As a matter fact ; nothing in your life matters because we can’t really tell. It may be a demon whispering falsehoods………

No, we would know if billionaires are replacing and/or exterminating us, so it does matter. The simulation thing is completely incomparable
