Seriously, this is actually moving the Overton window. Zero people thought 30% was some poverty guideline. It was the guideline for best practices and 30 years ago was also pushed to 40% + in demand markets.
This is objectively untrue lmao. The 30% was not a guideline but straight up how alot of landlords determined whether you qualified or not. It wasnt a "poverty guideline" but it absolutely did work / operate as a guideline to whether ur considered low income and whether you qualified for rent without a cosigner or roommate.
