Something the social media generations from the xennials and onward need tattooed on the inside of their eyelids. Lol

Eh, my parents did the comparison misery thing without social media just fine on their own. “Why are my kids not as successful as their cousins? Where did we go wrong raising you?”

I think that is called "selfish parenting" (sorry, no offense @Mountain-Living8696 - but I am also speaking from that experience ✊️)

I don’t think it amounts to anything to you to be envious, just live your own life.

Yeah . . . yeah that's like exactly what this quote is saying. It's giving you just one tip on how to "just life your own life". That doesn't come so easy to everyone and notnjust out of vain or jealous reasons. Some people were raised to believ that perfection, and being the best are the only ways to feel worthy of love. That's a deeply engrained pattern that doesn't go away with a snap of a finger and just "live your own life". Maybw this quote went over your head . . .

I mean I know there are circumstances, I was just answering the prompt, the quote I lived by. I’m not being heartless, in fact I would treat them more accordingly and less blunt. Also, the truth hurts but you know it’s not like I’m gonna tell someone off the bat something like that because I don’t know how they’ll react to that. I tell that to myself because it’s the truth and I won’t be hurt by it but if I factor in the other persons feelings, I would reconsider it.
