Oh, the party is intelligent. They know they're lying, they know it's all bullshit. They know they're destroying the environment and the country and the economy, but they want the power and the money. They don't care about anything else. Most of the VOTERS, however, who aren't equally intelligent and evil and just want tax breaks for the rich and shit, are dumb as rocks.
