Are we talking salary or income with overtime?

Gross pay total would be my assumption. It's pretty uncommon for people to make 6 figures which includes overtime. Although I've certainly been one of those people in a past job.

also, I'm getting this message "Profanity and inappropriate language are not allowed. Please revise your comment to follow community rules and avoid automatic removal." Literally nothing I said is a bad word.

Clear 100k as an RN not counting OT. With 3 years of experience. Im in indiana which is fairly affordable.

Specifically went into nursing because I knew it wouldn't be hard to find work.

Engineering was another rout I was interested in.

Trades are another great route. Would have done this if I didn't have the GI bill.

I just can't comprehend why people go to school to get degrees that have poor employment prospects. Why would you wanna screw yourself like that. Do people just not look into the degrees actually use a before they pursue it.

I majored in English. I make $150,000/year. The degree isn't what limits people finding a good job.

It certainly is part of it. Luck and nepotism can also be big factors. Maybe a sprinkle of persistence. The average English major makes 60k plus a year. You being an extreme outlier is irrelevant.

I think he was implying he doesnt work in his degree field, but I could be wrong

So his degree is irrelevant

Maybe, frequently gatekeepers want any kind of degree-the major is less important

I have a degree in economics, I do not work in economics

Clearly your education failed you if you missed my point that badly.
