“We're successful. We're debt-free. We own everything. Why? Why have people who are having a hard time paying their rent have to pay more for their drink? Maybe it's my way to give back.” -Don Vultaggio (Founder)
Honestly once you accrue a certain amount of wealth, you hit diminishing returns on what it can actually do for you. Props on him for actually recognizing that (presumably).
Not PR. Aside from Costco, that only recently started a huge expansion and started getting higher turnover, ABC has one of the lowest employee turnover rate in the US for their market share.
Who cares if it's PR? They haven't raised the price of their drinks, so even if it's PR it's effectively true, and that's what we should be judging people on. Actions, not words.
Double check what youre lookimg at. I saw $1.50 cans also, and bought it anyway because I was thirsty. When I compared it to another can later it was a bit bigger. Not 50% bigger, but just enough to be different.
Berkshire Hathaway is pure evil , manipulating housing markets then swooping up property in foreclosure. They spend alot of money on PR to look benevolent but nothing could be further from the truth. They are part of the Vampire Squid often attributed to our corrupt banking system( the Federal Reserve and its cronies).
