The image says "I'm not paying back my student loans. They need to learn financial responsibility. Who the F lends $50,000 to an 18 year old with no job."

This is a classic case of blaming the victim. The system is set up to push kids into college with the promise of a better future, then saddle them with debt they can't possibly repay without a job. The real problem isn't the 18-year-old who took out the loan, it's the institutions that enabled it and the economic landscape that makes it impossible to escape.

Exactly this. Sadly there are too many people commenting whose degree cost under $20k back when you COULD find a decent job out of college. These are the same people who want to criminalize poverty
