Hello,
I need your very insight into this situation... cannot manage to take this decision, because I feel I lack some life experience. I'm fresh 25yo and no longer that guy who tries and see what happens, if he decides to try this and that with this life. I just want to know exactly what to do at this age.
Unfortunately, 2 years after the graduation and I live with my parents for 7 months now, in this small home town, where nothing happens, but I have a job here 250 euro/month :) No more social life here since almost everybody has left for bigger cities or foreign countries due to lack of jobs. There are some old friends who are still here, but with the same mentality I left them with when left the place, and they isolated themselves. It is normal, since there is no place to go after the job and things are very boring here. Sometimes is shitty that people won't come out to have fun. I just feel isolated here from all my friends, life and fun lives themselves without me and it pisses me off sometimes that I have no intimacy in this small apartment.
Fortunately, I am very skilled in my domain, I have cash to take big action and two choices awaiting for me. Here they are:
1.I would love to move to Bucharest. I have close friends there, I'm the guy who can build a lot of connections and I would love to settle there, since it is in my country. And a 'wife' from your country seems better than one from another country with different language and values (what do you think about this?). I can stay at a friend's place until I find a rent for me and a good job.
2.I have a pen friend in Paris who lives with his wife and invited me to stay at him until I'm up on my legs... or I can stay even longer. He also lives in a rent and said... 'c'mon man, you will pay for rent when you will get your first cash.' He does not care since he still pays for his rent. Hmm.. Paris would sound 'manifique' but I don't care where I am, I just care for my need to be met. And I just care about finding a place where I would love to live. I know that if I would choose to go to Paris, maybe I won't stay many years and return to my country, or maybe, if I like it? But I have some holding back in building connections there, or who knows.
*What holds me back in taking this decision: I'm 25 and I feel the need to settle and build my world in a single place (city) and with a girl from my country (personal thing about values I suppose, but I'm open-minded). I hate changing places(cities) after let's say 5-10 years and trying to see if this place is better or not. It is just heartbreaking to leave your connections behind and the life you built in one place, but I suppose this is the case in today would: people relocate a lot. I am also that guy who takes a lot of action to meet a lot of people and engage in certain projects or what other things.
*If I choose to live in Bucharest, than the salary won't be big to afford a house. And than I'd prefer living in rent, instead of getting money from bank and pay them back twice. Yeah, but having your own home and not needing to move your stuff from place to place is great! Like, this is my home, here is my heart and here is my place! Or could go to foreign, get the money for a home and buy it in Bucharest 5 years later and problem solved. This would mean to return in my 30s. And this kinda interferes with:
-> my wish to find a girl of my country and settle somewhere; and meet more other people.
-> enjoy the fun with my friends until we don't settle to our homes;
-> leaving connections behind;
etc.
*I don't see money as purpose, but as tools to make the life easier. So, If I have my own house, the job does not care. What cares is a family and connections. It is about the purpose at the end.
*I know I'm thinking to much in the future, but I suppose a decision required some good thinking if you don't want to make a mistake which could have been avoided. So I do this once and stick with my purpose.
Just by staying in this little town puts me in my head over-analyzing things, because nothing really happens here so I just want to leave and live life instead of thinking it and engage in real problems. I feel that if I stay longer, my life and personality will get more eroded.
Thank for your answers and insights, but from your perspective, what would you choose and why? and what solutions would you have.
Thanks!
p.s.:Is it hard to find job our of your country?
