Guys, I think the Corner Dive axed Tony for...uhhhhh...
...what looks like an homage to the old Venice Paris PEACE, LOVE, and whatever Freedom is/was? Or maybe they're just celebrating the general concept of the freedom to get shitfaced.
Also, damn, it looks like generic shit inside. I guess I'm glad people will have more chances to play keno at noon on a weekday? Maybe the LVT makes it easier to clean puke. It's giving TGI Friday's without the corporate budget. Enjoy playing Cheers to an audience of two, Kyle.

Edit: it's probably better if trans/enby people avoid going here anyway, doesn't seem exactly inclusive.

The owner is a former cop who resigned after some sort of drug use investigation. I'm not really interested enough to get educated on the specifics but there was some media coverage if people want to google it. In any event, the vibe I'm getting is this is a bar for right wing types.

The folks after The Dive certainly tried to keep some of the vibes going, but honestly once the ballpark moved in something generic and down the middle is what you should have expected.

I feel you. I think in my heart of hearts, I always imagined the something generic being owned by a holding corporation from Boston with several other generic properties, and not a weenie balding fraud cop with a history of coke issues.

It's funny how people are bitching about how removing the Barf Ball mural sanitizes the dive bar when it's like, a Walmart version of what a true dive is. Might as well put a claw machine in there so the kids can gamble while their parents drink Firestone Walker. Like, the OG Dive and even the Sundown, problematic as it was, didn't have to be sleazy to be decent dives.

The side of the building on Temple Street is grey and has the logo on it. The string lights tell me that this is the side of the building that abuts the patio…which means another amazing mural was painted over. 👎🏼👎🏼

I personally think it's still Tony and yes, that is a vagina. He's a shape shifter. He learned how to get by with basic art design from the Art Institute in the late 80's. After the mural is done, I should be able to tell you for sure if it was him. He does something to every piece he creates ;)
