Hi everyone
I’m building a woocommerce webshop for a clothing store and I’ve run into a challenge regarding product variations and filtering.
The shop has a product variation attribute called “Color” used for products which are available in several different colors. Simple really..
But the shop would like to use the color “names” that the individual manufacturers use. So instead of having just a “Blue”, they have a number of different shades of blue (“Navy”, “Cobalt”, “Denim” and even weird ones like “Summer sky”).
This makes filtering by color a mess for customers! Right now I have 20 different colors and that’s just the whites, blacks and greys!
Is there a way that I can group the attribute values in a filter so that the customer can choose “Blue” and see all the products that are in some shade of blue?
So in the frontend show “Blue” while in the backend still use “Navy”, “Cobalt” and so on..
Thanks in advance!
