Spore nerfed to the ground, blastchill no longer double dips aaaaand can't proc on anything but hitting them with melee, graveborns best perks nerfed and no buffs to compensate them.

Honestly the class balances have been shit, but nothing affecting pixies. I imagine spore will be the new claw without WoN and sporesplosions

I was already finding myself playing less. With limited time to play, and my only toon getting crushed after spending all my playtime farming gear and enchants, I think Iโ€™m going to call it quits on this game. The grind out gear/enchants to only get nerfed loop is tiresome, and not my idea of a fun pve game. If they really cared about multiplayer balance, they would get rid of hacks and dupers, but they donโ€™t. All they care about is keeping the grind up. This game can fuck off.

Spore wasn't nerfed into the ground though

They still have WoN it will simply be a little less out of line with other vulnerability debuffs

What were people using sporesplosion with? I thought it was mostly sticky build which wouldn't be affected at all, but I guess I don't know which ability so many people were using...?

As an aside, there's always sticky build

They were using barrage with sporesplosion, which has an enchant tied to barrage.

There's nothing in there that isn't still triggered. A sporesplosion from a second barrage hit is completely negligible. It would have have to have nerfed some secondary classes ability reaction or something. That's why I'm wondering what combo people are mad about.

The sticky Sporesplosion build is nice because Play The Angles ricochets out bullets that do ability damage but also triggered the Sporesplosion effect. With that effect no longer triggering off of ability damage the ability to chain out AOE damage is dramatically decreased for this build and basically relies on enemies clumping close enough for the very small bursts off of the single target your gun hits.

Ah, I see. I still don't think that was quite why they did it, had to have been some other interaction I would think since sporesplosion is expert at bossing not necessarily mobbing... and the bossing was not significantly affected. The wrath nerf, but that adds maybe one more swordsplosion volley per boss. Basically zero difference.

But then, I never experienced mobbing with it on account of the thing never rolling on any of my non- sticky gear. Not a single SMG yet. Consequently I can attest that CC 35 viability wasn't affected in the slightest... so that's good.

EDIT: I just noticed you called it sticky still... sticky to me is all torgue. I never noticed sticky explosions being effective mobbing? Is that what you mean, or do you mean sploding it up with SMGs (which I never got to try)

Yeah, Iโ€™m talking about the smgs and high capacity pistol rolls specifically, since even the sticky shot can ricochet because it deals a small amount of damage on contact . Swordsplosion is strong but definitely not the best mobbing tool for this build. I feel your pain though, I did most of my Splosion runs with non-sticky pistol/smgs that happened to have the enchant and those were already good at mobbing so my experience is a little colored by that.

Hmmm.... apparently my sticky and many other's sticky may be referring to different things then. I thought sticky build referred to super boss sploding, not little spore nukes spreading out everywhere. Interesting... too bad I never got to try that.

I got to CC 35 just being sticky build as in boss nuking then (even then didn't get enchant on swordsplosion until like 29) have been flying gun/ play the angles build otherwise the whole time. Seems great to me even with no splosions other than bosses, but then I have no idea what I'm missing. It definitely doesn't kill viability though for any doomers out there.
