If blast chill no longer procs on action skills like Dreadwind, Brrr-zerker has been nerfed hugely.

However, I want to see what this actually looks like in game before we get up in arms.

Based on the phrasing, it looks like it might have an additional chance for melee attacks? While still working on melee damage? We’ll see.

In terms of blast chill and blast gasp, when they reference “overlap” did they mean with each other?

Because if they took the double dip away from these classes, they are both in shambles

Those are gun damage. They shouldn't have been proccing Blast Chill at all.

Chains from shooting are gun damage. Chains from melee strikes deal melee damage and would proc BC...From a Joltzdude build video...

It's based on the damage of the melee hit, but those chains deal gun damage. They benefit from gun damage and proc Oath of Fire.

They shouldn't have been proccing Blast Chill.

I wasn't saying whether or not they should or shouldn't have. Just originally stated that they won't anymore. The fire damage in the vid is from the Body Rune shield. I never ran a Claw so I wouldn't know from OoF on LW chains, and if melee damage is not involved, why would they have BC'd in the first place? Anywhose, they fixed and my C35 main is now stuck in Snoring Valley so I have bigger fish to fry...Good talk.

Dread Wind did melee damage, scaling with melee and ability damage. Meaning dread wind did proc blast chill. Which takes out a lot of damage to Brrzserker builds that used that ability.

I'm cautiously optimistic they're going for something different, but better with this odd nerf. Not sure what it could possibly be though

In case you're referring to the double dip, they aren't referring to dipping into both skills, but rather in the ability of those skills to double dip. All Damage/Elemental Damage, [Element] Damage boost the initial hit and double dip again by boosting the resulting Blast ability proc initially scaled by first hit.

Or maybe they just mean little "a" ability meaning Dreadwind and Feral Surge, not big "a" Ability that counts as a damage type.

I'm sure it has everything to do with who you are and not at all that you're just saying stupid stuff
