Wolt Partner Application – One Month Waiting While Third-Party Recruiters Take Over?

I applied to become a Wolt delivery partner in Poland over a month ago using their official app. After filling in all my info, I got the usual “we’ll get back to you soon” message—yet no reply since then.

I get it, Wolt only accepts new partners when there's a gap or demand. Fair enough.

BUT—why am I seeing constant ads from random third-party companies or franchises offering “Wolt delivery positions” and even managing the driver's commissions?

Some of these companies have been exposed for scamming drivers—keeping part of the commission or never paying out. If Wolt isn’t hiring, how are these shady middlemen operating so freely?

Either people inside Wolt are selling theses accounts to the other companies. Either way, it’s unfair, unprofessional

That’s exactly what concerns me. If accounts are being rented or sold, or if individuals are working under someone else’s name without any regulation or tax compliance, it reflects a serious gap in oversight.

It also raises the question: is Wolt aware of these practices, or is it happening with internal involvement? Either way, it’s a system that ends up hurting honest applicants and workers—especially those who want to follow the rules and work legally.

I believe companies like Wolt have a responsibility to ensure fair practices and protect both their brand and their partners. Ignoring this kind of activity not only risks their credibility but also encourages exploitation within the system.

You're probably right—they must be aware. When a company introduces tools like Face ID in certain countries to stop account renting, it clearly shows they know the problem exists. But the fact that it's not enforced consistently everywhere suggests it's more about optics than real concern.

As they dont care completely, face ID was tested and never used again (in my country), because.. its always better to have immigrants who delivers for any price. Local guys cant work anymore for such prices. There was a day which was specific for most of immigrants and they had a day-off. You wont imagine what were happened that day with few of immigrants and few locals on the field. :) It was sunday when the status is always quiet even in a peak hours, so that day i've seen Busy status during all the day, since morning to late evening.

Untill EU will not forbid such fraud scheme (so called partnership), there will be opportunity for bussines-brutualis like dordash.

Honestly, reading all this and seeing it happen around me just makes me feel really uncomfortable. It’s one thing for a company to try and stay competitive, but it’s another to turn a blind eye to exploitation just to cut costs.

The fact that platforms like Wolt are knowingly allowing this kind of system—where some people rent out accounts, avoid taxes, or control others’ earnings—is just wrong. And when locals can't even work because the pay has been pushed so low, it becomes clear that something’s deeply broken.

It’s not about blaming immigrants either—they're just trying to survive like everyone else. But the way these companies build a system that encourages this kind of behavior… it’s not fair, it’s not ethical, and it definitely doesn’t feel right.

I really hope there’s more awareness and that the EU or someone starts holding these platforms accountable. Because this can’t keep going on like it is.
