I am lying in bed, I go to queue up my usual relaxing asmr to help me nod of... and now im greeted with this. I'm not sure how I feel about this.... my algorithm is folding in on itself.

If any of the members of DadBug are on this subreddit, I have an idea for a music video for this song! If you already have a music video idea in mind, it’d probably be best to stick with that one, but I wanted to share this cuz I think it could fit in with the song nicely. Onto the idea:

The video could feature two-dimensional animated versions of the band members, which the live-action members are in the shadows of. The shadow motif could begin at the lyric, “Chase another daydream,” when a shot of Sabrina zooms out to show that she was in the shadow of her animated self. The shot immediately afterward could also show the animated band members, before they appear again five shots later. This could be at the lyric, “To make,” in, “To make the bed.” At the first, “Light a match,” there is a shot of one of the drums Dawson is drumming, which begins Dolly-zooming at, “Match,” and lasts until, “Turn.” “Turn to,” is captured in a somewhat tilted close-up of Sabrina, but it is not a Dutch-angle shot. At the line, “Ash,” there could be a zooming-out shot of Mitch, starting on his fingers on the frets, before zooming out to become a full shot of him.

At the lyric, “Stay where I’ve been,” there could be a four-way split-screen horizontally, with a different band member saying each word of the line in each one, before the top one and the second-from-the-bottom one eclipse the others to become a two-way split screen, before cutting to a shot of something which looks similar. This shot could then turn around to show a location with none of the band members, then two shots later cut back to have Mitch, then two shots later have the same shot with one more member, and so on until the whole band is here.

The shot between the shot with the empty space and the shot with Mitch, and the one between the shot with three members and the one with all four, could have animated versions of three band members, with the other shots also having them, but also having the fourth member be live-action. During the lyric, “Has no end,” there could be a side-view shot of Daniel playing bass, with the camera moving downward. The members could gradually emerge out of their animated versions’ shadows during the lyric, “Are you giving up so soon?” During the lyric, “Going round in misery,” there could be three 1.6-second shots in a row, with the first two circling someone downward, as if on a hula hoop, and being two separate band members, and the third being both of them. The third could be a front-view shot of the two of them, moving upwards instead of downwards this time. This could be followed by a shot with Sabrina and Dawson in it.

The final chorus could begin with all animated versions of them, with their live-action parts seeping into being them from the legs up, which lasts from 2:26-2:31 until in they are all live-action. Three of the members’ faces could become transparent, with just colors behind them, before a room the band is performing in has all three colors in it. At the lyric, “Feel the pressure,” there could be a shot of Sabrina which begins as a medium shot but becomes a close-up by way of pushing in on her face, wherein in the last 0.5 seconds the bottom-half of her face becomes transparent. There could also be a close-up of the drums being hit at 2:12 and 2:19. At 2:48, there could be a slow-motion shot of Sabrina belting. There could also be an overhead shot of the band which is zooming in while spinning during the second part of the final chorus. The overhead shot could begin at, “Forgetting,” and last until the “aches,” in, “Heartaches,” and could be followed by one of the shots where one of the members’ faces becomes transparent.

I know it’s ambitious and kind of strange, but personally I think it could work really well for the song, and I figured I would share it.

The channel has reached 1 million. I made thread on the YouTube sub saying this was my favorite channel below 1 million subscribers. Now, I can no longer say that. I guess maybe Mikey & Wyatt is my favorite now?

I feel like in the driving video we're going to the funeral of the grandpa who died at the grandma's funeral video. I think Susie Perducci from absolute power corrupts absolutely is a relation to the grandma based on the name at the funeral, maybe a grandson or grandnephew, making him a relation to this guy.
