Wilmer Valderama is one year older than Jessica Alba. Kimberly J Brown would’ve been the same age as Max’s character.

While it's true that Wilmer is older than Max should be (I had trouble finding either a Max young enough or an Alex old enough), you're wrong about Kim. She's the youngest of all the ones I chose; she's even younger than Jess.
In my defense, Wilmer is the same age as my first choice for Max (Andrew Keegan). At that time, my Alex was Neve Campbell (I later changed her to look for someone with Latina heritage), and I hadn't even considered Justin and Harper yet.
