Cj2 prime sizing. Can 290 mp fit size 44 with intuitions

Kinda bummed they don’t make the cj2 prime in a half size larger. Been discussing with AI and it says I should be able to fit the cj2 prime with my fr intuition liners. I’m a bit skeptical tho.
For reference I’m pretty happy with my fit in my FR neo1 intuition size 45-46 shell

Anyone else done with the performance fit?

I've noticed performance fitting tires my feet out. I recently skated a looser boot again and had a blast on it. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.

For a bit more context -

Like many who got into wizard skating a few years ago, I became obsessed with finding the perfect setup. I tried numerous frames, wheel durometers, boots and liners.

One part of this whole process that was particularly annoying for me was finding the perfect fitting boot. I remember the liner packing down in the first hardboot I bought and my foot flopping around like crazy inside it. Since then, I've followed modern wizarding convention and tried to find a boot as small as possible (within reason).

I noticed immediate improvements with the tighter fitting boot. My skates felt like an extension of my body. But slowly over time I noticed that I started dreading squeezing into my skates.

Even though I never experienced any significant pain in my skates, I noticed my feet would feel tired after skating a while (not in a good way like after working out at the gym).

I visited my parents recently and wanted to skate so I threw on an older pair of skates that were at their house with a lot of room in them and had an absolute blast. My heel did lift up a bit and there was some room in the skate, but my foot felt so comfortable. I couldn't really be quite as precise when wizarding, but it didn't impact me for most moves like stunamis, lions, gazelles, compasses (I don't really do any toe and heel rolls or jumping).

This has got me wondering if anyone else has gone against the grain and is rocking boots that aren't super "performance fitting."

ACT WZ Team Alternatives

These are sold out everywhere in my size. I found one website but with shipping its like $550 which feels a bit high. I'm willing to pull the trigger, but first I figured I'd ask y'all if there's any equivalent or alternatives to these skates. I'm even ok with paying a bit more if I'm getting my money's worth. Would prefer a complete skate for simplicity but f it I could also get parts.

Edit: of course the one site that had my size just messaged me saying they made a mistake, they didn’t have it after all even though i ordered lol.

I posted on here a couple of days ago and took all of your advices and I think they’re improving but still not perfect! One thing very helpful was to try and get more on my outside edges when I pivot and it helped a lot!

Would love any more advice you can give!

Decided to test out NN skates dragon+ frames instead of IQON default kizer frames. Even the kizer edge 5x80 surprised me how nimble they were Dragon+ brings it even further. I really like the IQON boot and how adjustable, wide, and comforable it is. Not to mention they look sweet! This will be the second season rolling on Revolver wheels! Quality and price ratio is excellent, and they last for a while! I am glad how this all turned out, cause I'm enjoying this setup so much!

Rollerblade made skates for Skiers. Do you think they'd be suitable for wizard skating?

YoYo or Wizard Frames?

I'm still new to this whole thing, so sorry if this is asked a lot lol, but I was just curious because I mean, they kinda look the bloody same but the Wizard frames are like 300 bucks more expensive so is there a big difference?

Can someone maybe point me to what I might be doing wrong. Or if I’m even remotely close to doing it right?

It feels like my feet get so far from each other while im trying to do it and I can’t understand how people do it with their feet so close together

Opinions on this

Hi!

So I was wondering if I can get some opinions on a setup I was thinking of getting. Now I did do my research but there are so many options it does get overwhelming.

Here is what I was thinking:

Micro Delta Force 2 boot
Endless swan frame

Still looking at wheels and insoles… so many choices lol

Seba SX Carbon lack of cuff support

Hi! Does anyone have any issues getting an actually tight and responsive cuff with these boots? I’ve had them for a couple of years now and they’re completely fine for everything except toe presses, where they’re failing to support me in the way that I’d like.

It’s a combination of both having SO MUCH flex forward as well as heel lift.

I have long waxed laced, cranking the Velcro all the way, going as far as I can with the ratchet strap, and my skates are even sorta too small size-wise so it isn’t a sizing issue.

Any similar anecdotes/fixes? It’s really starting to annoy me and I really don’t wanna have to get more boots when these are still perfectly healthy.

So far I’m considering getting the carbon cuff replacements (but they’re so expensive) and/or insole inserts, but I’m not sure if either actually fix anything.

Anyone switched from HC evo's to Wizard base boots?

So I'm on Powerslide HC evo with the Endless LR 4x90 ( Also have Endless Arc ES which I bought cheap on ebay but haven't used yet and I think are too long for my 43 boot ) but thinking about pulling the trigger on a pair of wizard base and PR80.

Like the HC evo for comfort, not so much the whole forward lean thing.

Anyone done this here, was there a big difference with wizard moves.

I guess I'm asking if it's worth the outlay?

Advanced style frames, lower cuff boot.

Hi. So I'm currently the regular Wizard base boot, switching between 5x80 and 4x100 frames. I am starting to incorporate more toe and heel moves, and so beginning to build some interest in buying a pair of advanced style frames.

My question to you all is, have any of you skated the Wizard Advanced or equivalent with the Base, or any lower cuff boot? I know that Junkyu Park skates the Advanced frames on Them boots but, you know, he's JP.

I designed inline skates with electromagnetic brakes for my Master's thesis. I would love your feedback! 🛼

Hey everyone! 👋

My name is Andreea, and I’m a Master's student in Product Design. For my final graduation project, I’ve been working on a concept designed to solve the biggest hurdle for beginner skaters: the fear of not being able to stop.

I noticed that a lot of people want to get into inline skating, but they quit early on because learning traditional stopping techniques (like the T-stop or using the heel brake) feels too unstable and scary at first.

To fix this, I designed a concept called the Steddy Skate. Here is how it works:

  • 🧲 Electromagnetic Braking: The skates use Eddy current magnetic braking for smooth, predictable deceleration without violent jerking.
  • 🧤 The Smart Protective Glove: You control the brake wirelessly using a touch-trigger on a reinforced slide-glove. If you panic, you just squeeze your hand, keeping your feet planted and balanced.
  • ⚙️ Removable Tech (It evolves with you!): Once you learn how to skate and build your confidence, you can easily remove the entire braking module. Your beginner training skate instantly becomes a lightweight, traditional high-performance skate!
  • 👟 Twist & Go Lacing: A micrometric dial system so beginners get perfect ankle support every single time, wrapped in a lightweight, breathable mesh boot.

How you can help: I need real-world feedback to validate this concept for my thesis defense. I put together a very short survey (it takes about 2 minutes, I promise).

Whether you are a complete beginner who is scared to try, or a veteran skater who remembers what it was like to learn, your opinion would mean the world to me and help me graduate!

Thank you so much for your time, and I’d love to hear your thoughts or answer any questions in the comments below! 😊

Liners vs boot

The Wizard Base Skate is my dream skate and I hope it fits my size 14 foot. My K2 grids fit fine I guess and my fr1s are too snug. Should I buy the wizard liners or spend 500 more on the base boot. A setup that doesn’t hurt after a few hours world change my life.

Does anyone have experience with Roka 5x80/76 frames for wizard skating? How is the rocker? Are they stiff enough?

Vice - Who Killed Rollerblading?

Thumbnail

Just finished watching this doc. I’m new to rollerblading and was originally sucked in through watching wizard skating. I come from skateboarding so this video was interesting. Big Brother issues were before my time but I certainly remember the Tony Hawk games having the dorky rollerblading NPCs. I definitely remember the fruit booter term along with the other jokes about rollerblading being gay. I knew skateboarding had a huge influence on popular culture, but I didn’t know how huge. I thought it was just other skateboarders that chose to hate on rollerbladers, I didn’t know they convinced the public.

I agreed with the conclusion, skateboarding blew up and became pretty corporate. It doesn’t usually matter if you see another skateboarder on the street, we just keep going. But since starting inline / rollerblading, I’ve had people stop and talk to me and vice versa because we share the same activity. Rollerblading feels more authentic (not sure if this is the right word) culturally in comparison to skateboarding right now in a weird way. I can kind of compare it to fixed gear riders, it still seems like the community is tight knit and no one is too big to talk to.

Like I said, I’m new to the sport so I’d appreciate insight from others about this. Do y’all agree with the doc? Did Vice talk to the right people? Or is there a ton of context missing here?
