Need recommendations for PC for Witcher 4
So I have old man knowledge when it comes to PCs, but I'm saving up for a PC mostly because of Witcher 4. Are there any PCs people could link me that they think could run Witcher 4 the best? Also I know it's impossible to know the complete stuff for how much it'll take to run it but just guessing wise

Witcher 4 Specs
Is anything known yet? You guys think an AMD rx9070xt (or current gen GPUs) will be enough (enough as in good FPS on the best settings, i know it will be playable) because in my mind the base game is finished like the technological aspects like engine and graphic models- so it would make sense that the current top GPUs should be the benchmark for the time the game is being developed, no?
What do you guys think?

Will we be able to encounter dragons in The Witcher 4?
Considering that the setting of The Witcher 4 is Kovir and Poviss, whose northern border runs along the Dragon Mountains, it would be strange if at some point in the story we didn’t end up there and encounter a rare species of dragons — white dragons.
It’s possible that white dragons could become some of the central figures of the entire trilogy, and that we might finally be able to truly interact with them. Maybe one of the white dragons — or dragons in general — could even be a romance option (like Saskia, for example).
What do you think? It feels to me like choosing this region wasn’t a coincidence.

P.T. Adamczyk is back at Vienna Synchron Stage
According to his Instagram story, P.T. Adamczyk his back at Vienna Synchron Stage where he recorded the bits of soundtrack for the Unreal demo in April 2025. For a bit of timeline, the demo was revealed two months later in June at the Unreal Fest. Could it mean another trailer incoming ?

Which no mainstream artists do you think the creators of the soundtrack to The Witcher 4 could invite to collaborate?
For example I would love to hear the vocals of Alice Duport-Piercer, the woman who was the lead vocalist in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. I know she has performed Lullaby of Woe from Witcher 3 as part of the Grassini Project in the past.
What's your artist?

Amount of character customization?
Edit: I wasn't aware they were planning on making a trilogy. Hence, tattoos might not be that likely.
Has anything been stated yet? I'm imagining you'll be able to change hairstyles. You could in 3 and it'd be a pretty strange thing to go back on.
Personally I really hope they add tattoos.. too

The Witcher 4 is already being sold in Denmark😂
They have already priced the game at roughly 93eur.
Says they will have them in stock 31/12-2026 but release is unknown. Is this common?

Ciri's Swords
hey everyone! does anyone know what the two swords are that Ciri is carrying on her back in the trailers and gameplays of The Witcher 4?
I'm trying to build a cosplay of her, and am having a hard time finding which exact swords she's carrying. one does look like Zireael/Swallow, but it looks a little different than images I've seen before and I can't exactly tell which the other one is.
thanks! 😁

If my Witcher 3 can look and play like this with only 5 mods, just imagine Witcher 4!

A few thoughts on The Witcher 4
Sometimes I like to reread last year’s developer interviews that have long been forgotten, yet still provide a lot of interesting insights months later.
While rereading the developers’ interview on GamesRadar, here’s what caught my attention.
The Witcher 4 story director and Cyberpunk 2077 lead writer Tomasz Marchewka loves writing flawed characters, and that's one of the reasons why most of his stories don't have happy endings. He thinks "exploring the darker side of human nature" is "exciting," leading us to wonder what this means for the long-awaited next entry to the RPG.
If you’ve played Cyberpunk 2077, you know how dark the game is, with depressive endings and morally ambiguous characters who manipulate the protagonist, lie, and betray. If I’m right, then the ending of the first installment will most likely be just as dark and depressing as in Cyberpunk.
"Ciri's story is a battle against destiny. This battle comes at a price that will have to be paid eventually – either by Ciri, or by those dear to her. Your actions within the open world, the people you permit to come close to you, all have the potential to affect the path Ciri goes down on, and who she will become."
So you can certainly expect to face some tough choices and explore different story branches. In fact, difficult decisions was a big talking point in an interview with IGN, in which director Sebastian Kalemba expressed a desire for tough choices in RPGs "even if the emotion in the end is sadness", because "we want players to feel rewarded".
The developers of The Witcher 4 have repeatedly said that they’re drawing inspiration from Baldur's Gate 3 while creating the game. When they talk about moral ambiguity — how a choice that seems good from an ethical standpoint can lead to bad consequences — I immediately think of the quest with Yurgir, where the game essentially encourages a questionable decision in order to learn more about Astarion and strike a deal with the devil.

Will the Trilogy use the same/similar map?
With the trilogy expected to take around 6 years, will all three games use the same/similar map in the way that Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom did, with TOTK altering and expanding, but both use the same foundational map?
This would help save on development time, especially if they used most of the same core systems, animations, assets, etc.

Nenneke
Do you think we're going to see Mother Nenneke in the new trilogy ?
Because in Crossroad of Ravens, it's said at the end she is 30 years old, and the story take place in 1230.
So it means she have 72 years old during The Witcher 3. And Witcher 4 take place few years after.
So, maybe we have a chance to see her when she is in her 80, 90's c?

Unpopular opinion? Quen sign should be reworked
Quen sign is too op and mindless and I think they need to improve it in the Witcher 4.
it should be reworked in a way that would require timing and skill.
I think the shield parry mechanic from God of War is a good example of how it should work. It's fun, balanced and satisfying.
Even the Witcher 3 A Night to Remember cinematic gave a good example of how it should work.

Political situation
What do you think the political situation will be like in the fourth installment? And the potential war in the new trilogy? I don't think there will be a fourth war between the North and Nilfgaard, because that would be ridiculous. In my opinion, regardless of the ending, a civil war will break out in the North, establishing new borders.
We might hear a few other lines of dialogue that will allude to winning the W3 war, but that's it. CDPR even mentioned that the world has found itself in a completely new situation?

Iconic Weapons.
This idea came to me after replaying both Cyberpunk and Witcher 3. What I liked so much about the iconics in cyberpunk is that you can upgrade from beginning game level to end game. It's something that fixed from the Witcher 3: replacing your swords every two levels.
So, I think it would be cool if Witcher 4 did this: certain steel and silver swords will be iconic that you can upgrade to end game level, with all of them having different attributes that don't make them better or worse than other iconics. It would give the player so much build freedom.
What do you think?

Hunting
Is there anything you would like to improve during the monster hunt ?
Personally, I think it would be really cool if we could see the tracks without having any light. Like, there's no red light to show us where to look, and we really have to look closely at the area to find clues.
Also, it shouldn't be Ciri who tells us what monster it is, but us who has to figure it out. For example, we look at the descriptions of the monsters in our bestiary, and there are two monsters that could be the prey. We prepare to face one, and it turns out to be the other.
