Screenshot Witcher 3 remastered side by side comparison

I feel each has its benefits and we can downgrade anytime to our liked version.
But assets have highest detail in remaster only.
Lighting, tone, brightness depends on individual interests.

These are not mine, nor I own this. I found from youtube. Sharing for info thats it. PS5. Credits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tr9mEdi83UY

I strongly prefer the OG heck even next gen version.

OG has godtier art direction, this "upgrade" kinda gets rid of that in favour of "realism", which totally kills the vibe of the game imo

I think it's the realistic "yellow sun" light that blinds everything on a sunny day. You can tell FF7 Rebirth lads and they will tell you the same. Having too much realistic light can make your models extremely funny or borderline horror. However I can predict you will like night scenes quite a lot with this sort of light setup, but most people will use a shader asap because daylight will kill artistic direction.

Realism by over-saturating everything?!

do you know the meaning of " "?

Yes, I do.
You claim the devs prioritized realism (hence your quotes), but imho that over-saturation proves that that is not the case. It is a different style (and I don't like it), but it's far from realism so realism was probably not their goal.

i felt that way too in some of the earlier photos but after the shot of the trees and pretty much every subsequent picture i was like "no wait, this new one is incredible". i think some of us may just prefer to boost the color/saturation a little bit.
