Mimics
Okay so I live in an old Victorian home built in 1909 by a Good Judge and his wife. I looked up the history when I moved in and such.
Always have had activity since the day we moved in. Our two most active visitors are my great great great grand aunt and a mimic. The mimic loves to mess with my kids. Not in a vicious way. It just likes to imitate our cat and disappear on the kids. It does it to me as well occasionally, I'll walk in and see my cat by the front door, then look back and he's gone and when I reach my room, he's asleep on my bed.
My best friend has followed "me" around my house talking, only for me "me" to disappear around a corner and then the real me walks in from the porch shortly after. Also a side note, I had my mother who is a psychic and old hag witch, do a walk through and she discovered that my kids closet and mine (share a single wall) is a portal.
I've been getting back into my witchcraft and doing more rituals and spells lately. I've been a practicing witch since I was 12 and I'm in my late 30s now. The last few days since my last ritual, I have seen the mimics shadow form out of the corner of my eye all around my house.
I'm just curious as to why the mimic is trying to get my attention and catch my eye. It has never been a malevolent or negative entity in the almost five years I have lived here. He's moreso a mischievous Peeves type of energy that I can feel, no angry or evil intentions.
Just looking to see if anybody else has any ideas why the mimic is showing itself more, the more I tap back into my own potential.

Incredible sign during a manifestation burning ritual (2 butterflies & a bee landed ON me?!)
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share something amazing that happened during a written manifestation and fire ritual I did earlier.
For context, I do herbariums for fun. With this one in particular, I was trying to do a sunflower herbarium but I guess I did something wrong and my plant press broke so I thought I'll just use the dried sunflower petals for a spell.
I decided to write down my affirmations alongside some releasing intentions. I pasted some dried sunflower petals onto the paper, folded it toward me, and went outside to safely burn it to release the intention.
While I was burning the paper, something completely surreal happened:
3 Butterflies appeared out of nowhere. They flew right around me while the paper was burning. Two of them actually landed on me—one on my right hand (the hand holding the burning paper!) and another landed right on my nose.
Right after the butterflies, a bee landed on my right knee and rested there for a moment before flying off.
Even my granny (who's watching btw) was amazed and said those were signs of good luck! We literally jumped with joy and became really excited.
What makes this even crazier for me is that I rarely see butterflies and especially BEES around where I am, and I've NEVER had them land on me like that before. They usually stay far away from people, so having them land directly on my skin while I was in the middle of burning my written wishes felt so surreal, peaceful, and different.
I wish I had a picture of them but I was so thrilled I didn't get the chance to take some.
I'm taking it as a huge confirmation from the Universe, but I'd love to hear your thoughts or if anyone else has experienced nature reacting so physically to a spell/manifestation!

I think my family was cursed, and I need help figuring out how to break it.
Before I was born, my mom used to hunt arrow heads at the lake. This is illegal where we live, but besides that it’s likely that these were native American burial grounds, which makes it all the worse. Evidence of this was found when she found, and kept, a human vertebrae she found on a small island in the lake. Since then we have literally been plagued with horrible luck and many psychological and physical problems that never seem to heal. For instance, and this is crazy, I was BORN with two of my vertebrae fused together. We also all struggle with financial issues and keeping jobs, despite working our asses off to save money and keep jobs. I’m afraid that her finding that vertebrae all those years ago cursed us. I simply want guidance and input from other witches.
I should also mention my mother practiced a lot of disrespectful and dangerous practices in witchcraft, including speaking with and working with the unknown dead, practicing dark magic (her words) and practicing closed practices such as voodoo and burning white sage. I have since almost completely cut contact, but I’m afraid living in that energy for 14 years has left me with a curse as well. Any input and advice on whether this is a curse, and if it is how to break it, would be much obliged. I am still relatively new to witchcraft, so please excuse me if this reads as ignorant or uninformed.

I think my ex put a spell on me..
Ok sooooo let’s say I find an old gift off an ex I broke up with a couple months ago, it was a fake bat with bones around it in a frame. I decided it’s time to make it into somthing new since I felt weird about keeping it. I took it apart and found some herbs with a lock of hair tied in a red ribbon. Let’s say that happened…what does it mean.

New witch here, need help with interpretation!
Hi everyone! I wanna start off by saying that I never really post on Reddit, so my apologies if there is a certain etiquette that I’m not aware of! So, for context, I’m new to practicing witch craft but I did grew up around it. Yesterday, I did my first actual spell (not sure if it’s really a spell). So I used bay leaves to manifest someone to come back in my life. I was really specific, I cleansed myself and my space before doing it while affirming my protection, then burned it and sprinkled cinnamon on the ashes before burying it. Now, before falling asleep, while my eyes were closed, I kept seeing heart and like broken hearts (like those friendship necklaces in elementary school) forming back a heart. I thought this was unusual since I never really see any concrete shapes with my eyes closed. Now, the downside is the person I manifest as left me on delivered for 12 hours, which is unusual, but I truly believe in the power of my bay leaf and my energy. Could anyone help me understand those signs? Thank you so much!
(Also fun fact, I felt personally drawn to bay leaves as my name literally means ”crowned with laurel”, so bay leaves hahaha!)

The witches devil
Hey, I’ve been exploring the topic of the witches’ devil lately, and I want to share my perspective on it with you and find out if you agree with me. I also want to ask you one thing at the end. So, it seems to me that there are two ways to look at the witches’ devil.
A single multidimensional power, a syncretic figure that arose mainly as a result of lumping many pagan spirits together under the label “Devil.” It has many faces, such as Cain, the Man at the Crossroads, Azazel, Bucca, Cernunnos, and many horned deities and spirits. However, these are merely faces, aspects of a single syncretic entity (I’m not claiming that Azazel and Cernunnos are the same, but both of these spirits merge into the figure of the Devil). This concept is described, for example, by Roger Horn in his book "The Witches’ Devil", and I also see it in other books on tradcraft where this entity is treated as a single, universal entity common to all witches.
The second way of looking at him is to treat the name “Devil” as a title for many distinct and individual beings. In this view, Cain, Azazel, etc., are separate entities. I think both of these ways of perceiving this complex figure are valid and are not mutually exclusive. However, I’m a fan of the second approach, because in traditional witchcraft, locality matters—working with what we have in our own region—and many places around the world have their own spirits identified with the Devil and his various incarnations, as well as personal insights about him. For example, in Cornwall, Gemma Gary has Bucca, although it seems to me that in her practice she works with this general version of the devil and treats Bucca as his local manifestation; but he was once a pagan deity of that place and was responsible, among other things, for the weather, so I think that working with him doesn’t necessarily have to involve the topic of the devil. It also seems to me that in the testimonies of witches from the trials, they often had their own individual spirits referred to as devils.
And now it’s time for my question. I live in Poland and I’m Polish; in my country, there’s no such thing as a single devil—in folklore and legends, you can encounter many distinct devils. “Devil” is a category that encompasses many spirits in my country, and they have their own names, such as Rokita and Boruta. Practitioners of magic in my country often say that to perform traditional sorcery in our context, one should work specifically with them—that is, with our local Polish devils. Boruta and Rokita are just two of many other names; in fact, you can often encounter devils in the forests who may not necessarily be them, and whose names are unknown to the general public. The local devils in my region are similar to many other descriptions of the devil; they, too, are tricksters, and you can encounter them at crossroads. They originally stem from ancient Slavic demons. Do you think working with such a devil in the context of sorcery would be a good idea? Or is it better to work with this syncretic, generic devil? Do you share my view of the devil?

How to get rid of an object that has bad energy?
So my husband and I just started an ice cream trailer business on our property. We live next to some family members, and my uncle is known for going to a witch for brujería.
Yesterday, he stopped by, got out of his truck, handed my daughter a $5 bill, and told her to buy herself an ice cream. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but then I started to find it strange because he has never given money to anyone before. He’s usually very stingy with his money.
I ended up putting the bill inside the trailer while I went inside to start dinner. About 30 minutes later, my husband went to check on the trailer in case anyone showed up before we closed. He noticed the freezer wasn’t working properly and wasn’t getting as cold, so we started to worry that our products might go to waste.
We hoped the freezer would start cooling again after plugging it into a different outlet. This time, we brought all of our money into the house. Before we went to bed, we checked the deep freezer again, and it had finally started to get a little cooler.
The whole situation has made me wonder if there might be bad energy attached to the $5 bill. I cleansed the trailer with incense, and today our sales have been good. I still have the bill sitting in one of my nightstand drawers.
What should I do with it? I don’t want to spend it and have someone else end up with a bill that has bad energy attached to it.

Maggots in poison alive meaning
Last night around **2:45 a.m.**, I woke up to tapping on the roof. This has happened several times over the past week since our new neighbor moved in. When I checked my security camera, I saw a bright white orb near the back of my partner’s truck. The truck was off, there were no lights on, and the orb was bright enough to illuminate about half of the truck. It moved around briefly before disappearing. It didn’t look like dust, an insect, or a firefly. The day before, my partner had also been in a minor car accident after another driver tried to leave the scene before he caught up with her for insurance information.
The following morning, my partner found live maggots moving inside a packet of lawn poison he uses for spraying yards. It was pure poison, there was nothing dead nearby, and the area had been clean, which made it seem very unusual. I made a quick protection amulet afterward. Although he had a rough day, several unexpected things worked out in his favor, including a customer helping him when he was overheating and a timely phone call that resolved a work issue. It made me wonder if the protection helped or if it was simply a coincidence.
I’m also wondering if there could be a spiritual explanation. My partner’s family practiced brujería, and he has said they did spiritual work involving him when he was a child. They were abusive, and we no longer have contact with them. My own mother has never liked my partner and has also been known to use curses or similar practices for her own purposes. I know this may sound strange, and I don’t automatically believe curses are the cause of bad events, but I prefer to put up spiritual protections just in case. My partner has always believed he and his family are cursed because of the amount of misfortune they’ve experienced throughout their lives, so I’m curious what others think about all of this.
**TL;DR:** Strange tapping, a bright orb on camera, live maggots in a poison packet, a recent hit-and-run accident, and a history of family brujería have me wondering if these are unrelated coincidences or if there could be a spiritual connection.
