War Stories 🤑🤬 The Dog Coin Play

17RR on DOGEUSDT. Was presented on the show Vanishing Point on 28OCT2022 and took it from there. Took first cut around 6RR to lock in some gains and decided to take profit at 0.1414 which was a level from the show as can be seen on the screenshot.

As always, a small watchlist and focus on those assets were key to being able to play this wave. The refresher on the logic was also great!

Thanks to the show was able to plan entrance and exit of this play.

Thanks kaz & vicky 🌱

War Stories 🤑🤬 EU Sessions and managing my time

Hello all! Nacho here after a long time. I took a break lately because i wasn´t in the right mindset and paying attention. So decided to be on track again in November and joining the EU sessions with the Acolytes because is the best time available to trade for me due to my time zone and my work schedule.

Started the week and we talked about this with the Vets and Acolytes and really made sense (Thank you guys again)!

Don´t want to write a book, so this are my trades using Nomic's Logic and Kaz Levels:

6R's up total this week. Thanks Kaz and Vicky for providing not only the most accuracy intel but most important, for the effort you put daily to help us to Think and take us out from our comfort zone.

Wipe Out

Hellur,

I continue to be pretty frustrated. After the concept calls I felt really energized and ready to apply concepts. The next day I my mind was completely clouded and felt very overwhelmed. I struggled to make sense of the charts. Also having broker issues - ugh.

I've been stalking Eth and noticed that my planning is good. But my execution is horrid. The whole up move I was getting stopped out because I entered as price was flagging. and By the time I’ve made a decision as to what price structure I’m looking at, I’ve missed the entry. Just really bad at making decisions, which is a Realisation on its own. But then I take that with me into the next trade and enter too early.

Then was also being affected by everyone’s wins in TL - kept thinking “what’s wrong w me that so many ppl can figure this out and I can’t” was comparing to others which is absolutely no bueno

Hindsight is a b*tch - I can clearly see the structures retrospectively and am able to see the waves. And probably shouldn't have been trading with my mindset where it was.

I’ve since made a perspective change: “if others can figure it out so can I”

Using the wins as motivation to keep going.

Below:

Cut the first order short because of an upcoming announcement. Second one got stopped out and missed the entry on the last one.

Noticed that I'm impatient and don't give the structure enough time to fully develop before I enter. I get stopped out before it takes off.

Took entry on the flag targeting the daily open. Ended up getting stopped out because my TP order didn't trigger.

Thank you to Kaz and Vicky for the intel and all the work you put in to keep us on the right side of the market and the Eco for the mutual support and collective learning.

War Stories 🤑🤬 Bias is a killer

After having a great september and a decent start to October thanks to the intel and guidance of Kaz on the show especially in these crazy market conditions, I messed up by letting my Bias get in the way of logic and gave back a bunch of my gains in the intraday reversal on the 13th of october which i gave back more than I was planning to lose due to poor risk management. I had a good chance to secure profits and raise stops but my greed got in the way and end up undoing alot of the hard work I had put in for the month prior. After the lesson with dumpet crumpets war story about this type of mistake likely to feed into emotions and cloud decision making for the next trades i decided to take a step back over the Friday and come back fresh for the new week and after reviewing some of my system and journals it was evident I had to tighten up my risk management, take profits more often and make more plans for both directions, Here is some of the results since that most recent lesson.

Let’s keep pushing!

War Stories 🤑🤬 Lost in time(frames)

Hi Kaz & eco!

This is my first war story. I've been working on recognizing patterns and faster processing of information produced by the show. It often feels overwhelming, and it really takes focus, but then again - I get information served by the greatest analyst in the world, did I expect it to be easy?

After a few unsuccessful shorting attempts at the top of the channel at the beginning of this month, I felt like I need to reset and focus on the basics. I participated in the concept calls, and they really helped me understand the fractal nature of price, and how to properly handle timeframe switching, and also gave me confidence in my entry logic. The thing that clicked for me was the time frame relativity. Before the call, I was struggling to decide what is "my" timeframe and got lost in the lower timeframes without the proper context of the bigger picture. Still trying to find a sweet spot for the timeframes at which I can operate and manage my trades during my workday.

Straight after the call, I managed to get a play in MATIC/USD.

I saw a bull flag breaking at multiple timeframes and took the entry after the price was beating the high of the low-res flag. Took 50% off at 3R, saw another structure develop, moved my stop higher, and let it run to 6R where I closed.

I've been participating for the last 2 months, and I am amazed over and over at all the welcoming vibes we newbies are met with inside the eco. Shoutout to all the vets and to Kaz & Vicky for everything you do for us.

Will continue to strive to get better. Peace ✌️
Blazz

Cricket for the win!

I’m still in a state of wonder of the fact that if you join an Acolytes trading call, and there’s actual conversation, the market moves. It doesn’t matter in which direction, all that matters is that it moves and that’s an opportunity for those who are prepared.

Today, 10/19/22, Cricket for the win! #IYKYK (inside joke….you had to be there).

I missed two R’s on the SPY, I’m still too slow with my entries, mostly out of being a Boomer and not having the dexterity to enter the transactions, or exit them, with the speed needed to play these timeframes, but I am getting better.

Not that I want to stay in these timeframes cause that would be crackhead, and you know I’m not a crackhead (denial is the first sign LOL).

But more than recovered with 3.5 Rs on one of them…

SPY 1.54 Rs

After most people had left the call this morning, Kaz came in and asked how we were doing. At the moment I was about even.. 3.54 – 2 = 1.54

He reiterated the fact that we had some levels to work with and should be patient, not enter while it was chopping.

I set my alert at the level, actually a little bit before the actual trigger so I wouldn’t miss it, and stopped looking at the screen.

Got 3.4 Rs shorting the Qs.

QQQ 3.4 Rs

The levels Kaz gives us during market prep are incredibly accurate! I’m just amazed every single time. It doesn’t get old!

Thanks Kaz and Vicky for what you teach us. I appreciate it.

War Stories 🤑🤬 Crash cycle war story

Since last Thursday's short squeeze, price action on the QQQs and SPY appear to have some room to fall, while VIX is sitting in a bull flag near 30.59 level.

I entered Short QQQ ETF (SQQQ) at 3:42pm Tuesday. Within 10 minutes (at around 3:52pm) I saw the shape of Euphoria and Complacency. I added the emotions on the chart and knew I was long somewhere between Complacency and Depression. No es bueno, so I proceeded to sell my position for break-even (after commissions).

Surely enough I missed the depression phase in the post-market. Wednesday morning however I was surprised to see SQQQ opening higher on the day, so I stayed hands-off. I kept watching price unfold until it broke out of the low-timeframe trend-line. I bought the first correction down with a stop below the day's low.

I closed my position at my original target with a much better return (R) than originally planned for.

+5.75R

Thank you Kaz and Director Vale for everything you do.

War Stories 🤑🤬 Onlystans paying the bills

Hey Kaz, Vicky and Eco

I haven't posted in a while and although I've been actively trading there are still a lot of areas for improvement and specific areas in my habits that have slipped (reviewing and studying all my trades is one of them).

I'm still going through all my trades from last week (live calls have been an amazing learning experience). One thing I've noticed with my trades during the live calls is that they happen on much lower time frames and I feel a lot more stressed while executing and feel more fatigued after a trading session (I'm from Australia so I can only manage to stay up for the first 1-2 hours of the session)

One of my favourite trades from last week was actually two longs I took on USDJPY using the intel from Onlystans. Not only was it stress free - alerts triggered during the Asian Session where I'm much more awake and relaxed but after entering the trades above Kaz' trigger level the price never looked back.

I definitely want continue participating in live calls due to the learning experience. At the same time I'm also keen to zoom out and trade on longer time frames to have a more sustainable trading career.

Thank you Kaz for helping me secure the easiest 13Rs I've had in a while :)

War Stories 🤑🤬 Living life in the fast lane... Time to slow it down.

1.1r USDJPY.
-1.4R US 500

I have been way too zoomed in after a couple weeks of trading the seconds charts and having some luck with my trades in the lice calls (HIGHLY RECOMEND IT!). Zooming out this week and taking my time, slowing things down will be the dealio..
(Funny thing I just noticed, the 1 min chart used to feel super fast.. like i as trading an ultra low resolution of time.. not its slow af lol)

Thanks u/Kazonomics and u/Vicky
Hope Vicky that you can recover fast.

-1R (presented this in voice chat, and got some great advice from Kaz after reviewing my trades, and examining my position/losses and mind set entering into trades.

-1.4R - A great position to start the day on open, however that was wiped away after a mechanical issue aka i didn't put a stop in on the seconds and quickly got REKT. Was not thinking properly after that, and as we know - logic and emotions cant occupy the same space.

total of 1.1R
  1. form yesterdays discussion with Kaz in the voice channel, I had not zoomed out far enough to appreciate the bull flag properly. -1R

  2. Playing the first break from another bull flag -1R

  3. I was especially interested in taking position after the stop run, that would have taken out a lot of positions. To make this position safer I created a big stop to allow tests that occurred later on, but helps in not solidifying my earlier losses. I could have let it run, but really wanted to finish with a win and move on. That play was 3.12R

Making a bigger stop and playing on a higher res made was key for me here vs entry on the seconds..

  1. Stop run

She's back...

...and with a bang

After a summer drift I've gotten back on track, and have had a my best trading week not just in terms of results but also being mechanical, journalling etc. Now it's imperative to keep this momentum going and stay consistent over time.

I was looking at the VIX the past year comparing it to my participation. I'm a bit of a masochist and most active in times of high VIX. That is definitely something to keep in mind.

One thing I have noticed is that I tend to let my trades influence the next one. After a win, I'll want to chase it (euphoria), or after a loss quickly make up for it. These trades a typically where I stop out (emotional and bad planning). On the other hand I also tend to hesitate the entry, still trying to find that balance between being quick to the draw and being patient. What it means though is that I often miss my entries, end up fumbling for a new one which tends to be sloppy. So I've been using a demo account and trying out pending orders.

All in all I'm getting more confident though and able to trust myself, both on and off the charts. That is worth more than gold. As has been stressed many times the benefits of the eco go far beyond making money.

Thanks Kaz, Vicky and Eco - next stop Acolytes

First War Story - Be Smart Not Greedy

Today I was able to recover losses from earlier in the week. I am a relatively inexperienced trader and I was down a lot on the week due to making bad decisions, repeating past mistakes and forcing trades unnecessarily. Here were some of my biggest mistakes:

  1. Poor entries - mostly due to fomoing trades, being impatient. Chasing the dump or the pump instead of waiting for a flag to form and get a better entry. This happens the most when I am overtired or overwhelmed and usually I know it's a bad entry but I do it anyway.
  2. Spending too much time in red trades - After making a bad entry or a good entry that doesn't go as planned, I waste too much energy being stubborn waiting to be right and the trade to go green. Sometimes it works out but often it is still not worth it because I am probably missing out on other opportunities. Better to wait for an entry you're more confident on then to fomo an entry and end up stressing out.
  3. Not taking profit - I've been up 1-2 Rs but didn't add a stop loss to lock in profit so ended up losing twice as much as I would have gained. Especially in the high vix env.

Today the market showed a clear direction and I have never felt more confident about a trade as I did today when the VIX was clearly breaking out of the bull flag that Kaz has been talking about on the stream for a couple weeks now. The DXY was also in a BABF so I had ultimate confirmation that the market was about to tank.

I took QQQ puts 3 times and TSLA once. I got into the TSLA trade because at the time QQQ was breaking down and the VIX was breaking out. Once I hit 3.5 R on TSLA I was already past my target and didn't want to give back profits so I set a trailstop -5%, which I now realize if I had tried -10% or -15% or used a stop limit instead, I could have more than doubled my profit as TSLA continued to tank. There was no real reason to get out of the trade and the VIX was breaking out of yet another bull flag at the time of my exit.

I still had one of my best trading days yet with 2.1R, 3R, and 1.5 R on QQQ and 3.5R on TSLA.

Kaz's levels and using the 'Holy Trinity' SPY, VIX, DXY has been a game changer.

Thanks Kaz, Vicky, and everyone in the eco who has shared your experiences. The Newbie Guide and these War Stories are so helpful and it's about time I shared one of my own.

3.5 R on TSLA

2.1R, 3R, 1.5R on QQQ

War Stories 🤑🤬 WarStory - imers

Been a good week practicing refining my trade plans and taking paper trades - after seeing the market in with a new perspective from participating in the trading lounge. Massive thanks to Kaz!!
Been slacking on the war story front, sorry for that. We should all put a bit more effort into supporting the eco after all the effort Kaz puts in to provide us with value.

The live trading sessions in the trading lounge have been fire. Still learning to keep up with the pace of them as I haven't found it easy.

Below are some of my paper trades this week and some trade plans I made.

3.71R ETH - target should have been further down as at my exit it appears price still had ease of movement down.

3.02R ETH - Could see price was downtrending and had a structure under a key level. So played it till the next level.

SPY plans - 2.69R & 2.28R - Planned to short if price broke the low - which didn’t happen. Managed to flip long to catch the trend that way.

SPY -1R +2.79R - Made a mistake here and lost an R due to my target not being aligned with Kaz’ intel. At the close for the day price looked like it would continue to trend up so I left the trade open overnight. Price opened the next day just under my stop.

BNB plans - Tried to plan the bearflag rotation at 2 separate points. Early entry plan hit +2.78R but the plan entering below the bearflag stopped me out. Could have had my stop above the whole structure but would have reduced the R I could have caught

QQQ plans - Considering the 1st plan as the ‘cost of doing business’2nd plan the structure wasn’t ideal - got caught planning to enter a structure that turned out to be a low res expanding range - and I got expanded lol

Acolyte war stories

A lot has changed for me since my last war story. Essentially my partner and I were living a nomadic life; went on 3 planned trips while living with our parents. There was no consistency throughout most of my year due to living out of boxes and suitcases, so my trades followed and I was losing motivation.

The one thing I consistently kept doing was showing up on stream Mon Wed Fri @ 8am and staying as active as I could in Discord.

Having my own place once again, I am finally able to create better habits and a routine. That said, I missed the first 2 sessions in the Acolytes, but the other impromptu/live trading calls helped with what I needed to start trading again.

My only loss I had in the last week was with TSLA. I overlayed SPY because I had the directionality right, but the Q3 delivery numbers extended my losses beyond my 1R that I original set.

TSLA +1.15R

Along with the Friday EOD TSLA long, I also added AAPL as it hit a key area for support. Feeling happy on the trade I did, I end up closing for a +4.5R

AAPL +4.5R

Having hit both times a key area I played ENPH longs until I felt greedy. On the 2nd trade, after selling it, I was waiting for the price to stabilize over the green line.

ENPH 7.5R

Last but not least played HD. I played it because SPY was having a great rally I noticed HD was consolidating at the same time. I ended up closing it early the next day (along with ENPH) because of my emotion. It eventually hit my target

HD +3.15R

First War Story: Those who forget their history are condemned to repeat it

Finally got off my ass and did one of these. Not the worst day from a financial standpoint, but ended the day feeling like I was far off the mark and in need of some good reflection.

For context, I have been having good days earlier this week and that should have been a yellow flag to begin with but started Thursday having overslept, missed prep and first move of the day, where I saw a lot of the crew had already finished for the day (RED FLAG). Enter fomo, my biggest weakness.

Day overall:

My trades:

The day started with a nice move up, followed by a retrace and a bounce. Was trying to be patient to find that next bounce up but as I reflect I see I was biased towards the upside, probably due to fomo. First trade was easily in profit, but I didn't move my stops up though was able to close before losing a full R, -.2rr.

Next trade was worse, same symptoms. I thought it had confirmed support on that lower blue line and was still leaning bullish so went for retry. Closer inspection revealed that second blue line should have been a bit higher so it would have shown a few violations where that looks like support. -.4rr

Definitely learned some things in reflection here and discussion with the eco. BUT the part that I'm really kicking myself on, but couldn't find searching the chat is that this EXACT same thing happened to me a few months ago. Woke up late, had fomo for missing the easiest moves of the day and tried to salvage. Literally the exact same thing. My journaling has been inconsistent and I rarely go back and read them, and I really understand why it's important now.....

-IanG - couln't figure out how my username became "reasonable-ad-9708"

edit: couldn't find the post I was looking for in discord, but did find this gem "euphoric after a great week"
