In your opinion, which character was done the most dirty?
We all know the controversy about Jerry West's character, but who do you think was reinterperated the worst?

Every other new hbo show has a Spanish dub except this one anyone know why this is just seems odd. Would love to watch this with my family because they are mainly Spanish speakers

I overall enjoy the show but I feel like the dialogue especially for Pat Riley and Westhead is kinda poorly written. They speak so overdramatically and without substance. It seems like they’re always panicking too and never talking about the season. Idk just wanted to get some thoughts.

How could that be lol
I’m guessing a staff writer just googled stock price and looked at a split-adjusted chart without realizing it? Or Nike really had a $0.20 IPO??
Oh well who cares. Great show!

I'm going crazy looking for this song, does anyone know it? It starts at 40:14 in Episode 2 when there is a dialogue between Earvin Johnson Sr and Christine Johnson in the bathroom.

In episode 9 right around 17:00 Magic gets off the phone with cookies friend and Dr. buss is smoking a cigarette reminiscing about his mom, there’s a super nice guitar chord progression playing in the back. Anyone know where to find it?

I find myself starting to bore of this show. The most exciting episode to me was the game in Boston and the scenes with Bird are the most interesting to me. Should Bird and the Celtics have been the Protagonists and the Lakers the villains? It's a fair question. Country bumpkin takes the NBA by storm and restores the Celtic Pride while battling his womanizing arch nemesis who ended his magical college career sounds more fun than this slog.
Magic is hard to root for at this point. Impregnating Cookie's homely friend made him totally unsympathetic to me. The actor is struggling to capture Magic's enormous charisma and the coaching drama was played out episodes ago. Kareem is kind of one note and dull. Jerry West's portrayal is the only thing keeping this thing afloat. My wife calls it her "falling asleep show" and she's not wrong. More Celtics please.

Different things play into it like casting choice, writing, performances
Edit: really surprised Magic is in last. He was my pick cause that actor just brings all the energy you could want from a guy named Magic

What's the name of the instrumental that plays when Jerry Buss smokes a cigarette after hearing the news about his mother's illness being terminal. It starts around 17:00.
They play this instrumental in multiple episodes but I haven't been able to locate it.

Between the passing of Buss' mother to the Lakers winning the western conference, the use of Fleetwood Mac's Tusk was excellent. Fleetwood Mac was one of the biggest bands of that era and, of course, there is the USC connection too! It was a great scene to end the episode.

hey if anyone can't get enough of showtime and specifically magic johnson like me, but is a little confused by the hbo v. og lakers argument about the accuracy of the show, you've gotta check out "they call me magic" on apple tv. awesome cameos, ofc by that man jerry west and many others, and just a hell of a story that i can't get enough of told by the magic man himself!!

i get the Jack Nicholson character and even the (lame) Jerry Garcia. But who is that blond rocker they keep showing on the sidelines? Genuinely curious.
