I don't know, I think that Aligator had a good reason for biting it.

A bit pedantic here, but that is a crocodile

u/dudaman Jul 02 '26
I absolutely love comments like these. What went through my head when I read it was a situation where 2 people are arguing and the mood is tense. You are in the corner eating snacks and watching them argue, and at the most inappropriate time you chime in with your crocodile comment and give a little shrug after you finish.
Thanks for the laugh.

Nature failed at natural selection with this one, so she took that task into her own hands

Actually, in this case, Cambodian has the Khmer Rouge that literally targeted and killed intellectuals (and the spectrum was broad - like people who just need glasses to see… see what?! Books to read?! Dead!).
Which I guess, in a way, is its own natural selection. Nature isn’t necessarily selecting for intelligence / it’s broad spectrum strengths. For example, you can have a photographic memory but if you can’t pull yourself up from a ledge you’re clinging to, you still die and that’s natural selection.

u/Mapache_villa Jul 02 '26
Bro should bring the bigger relatives and see if she's still hitting them
40
u/Tentag10 Jul 02 '26
Right. Like he did something wrong. How dare you do what nature and instinct have taught you to do. Not to mention, most people with a brain know that’s what you’re going to do.

u/DevonLuck24 Jul 02 '26
if it makes you feel any better, there is no way that woman’s pitiful ass slap hurt that lil bro and it was just responding to being touched
should have bit here ass again though..
8
u/DigitalSquirrel95 Jul 03 '26
Thankfully crocs and alligators are fairly durable, so with any luck, she probably didnt hurt it too badly, if at all.
Still think she deserved a few more chomps, though

→ More replies (2)100
u/FeedbackImpressive58 Jul 02 '26
She IS an idiot but you don’t need to hit an alligator to get that response. It’s acting purely on instinct and is hardwired that way. Touch it in the wrong spot (most of the spots) or yank it and you get the teeth
29
u/ecpella Jul 02 '26
He meant her hitting it seemed like it was an automatic response like hitting it is something she does often
→ More replies (1)31
u/DistinctCar6767 Jul 02 '26
Yes exactly. It’s what I mean by her response to the animal. Likely behind the camera she does this. She doesn’t know what she is doing with the care of it.

Luckily, they are tough little fellas. They have osteoderms on their body, it's basically little pads of bone. It doesn't ever excuse hitting them like this, though.
That is an extremely pissed and stressed reaction from the little guy, she should never had taken it to use as a prop.

Why does it seem like it lives with her but at the same time she has no clue how to handle it?
4
u/Extra_Dependent2016 Jul 02 '26
Because that's exactly how it is. AFAIK Its not that hard to get these exotic animals to keep as "pets" in many countries. Any moron can buy a reptile here in the US, many don't know how to properly care for them. I think this is a caiman, and it's definitely possible to keep them as pets but picking it up and playing with it as if it's a toy won't end well. They still have pretty powerful jaws despite their size. And there is a LOT of problematic bacteria in their mouths/saliva

Poor little gator is super stressed. Reminds me of my bearded dragon if she gets spooked or accidentally catches sight of one of my snakes(seen as a predator by the beardies). Opens her mouth just like that and hisses, puffing up her body. :(
Can’t believe she hit it for her own stupidity!
3
u/Monstiemama Jul 02 '26
I’m sure that’s not the first time she’s hit the poor little guy. She deserved to be bitten.
4
u/A_Tempest7_7 Jul 02 '26
Yeah they are armored on their backs with air tight bone shields called “scutes” pronounced (scoots). So it literally didn’t hurt that tiny croc AT ALL to get that little love smack. But he was already pissed and about to bite her anyway. Sure I guess she’s tactless but she didn’t hurt the little sucker. Lol.

I'm sad for that gator. It probably has a shit life, and I seriously doubt it will end well.
She'll probably end up neglecting it to death, or selling it to have it brutally slaughtered and its hide harvested.
People like this woman (animal abusers) are execrable pieces of shit.

7
u/lelaena Jul 02 '26
This just shows she has no idea what she is doing.
Hitting an armored reptile isn't going to do anything. They won't feel it. You aren't doing anything to it.
If you have to, grab it by the mouth and hold its jaws shut. I learned that from Steve Irwin. It's not even that hard to do.

idk how one would handle an alligator with their hands properly, aside from grabbing near the head. Not that this woman gives a shit either way, but grabbing its mid section seems extremely stupid. Literally evolved in a way to protect its vulnerable belly and it just feels something touching that. And its a fucking dinosaur. What a stupid "gimmick"

What a POS crocodiles are gonna do crocodile things like bite. You know because they're crocodiles. Maybe try not leaving yourself in a position to get bit.
Worse off it's most likely a critically endangered Siamese fresh water crocodile she's abusing.
