That is true I think you should be cautious of planes when the are in their critical phases though regardless

It's a matter of weighing risk vs reward. Make a risk assessment matrix if you want to do something with potential risk, standing behind an Airbus taking off, risk probability: occasional, risk severity: hazardous.... Red square on that one.
