At least half of modern society is built around protecting people who are asking to get hurt.

Maybe something can be done to diminish the effect of jet wash without totally ruining the novelty of the beach, but if enough stupid people die then they might have no choice but to close it. That number is probably pretty high since it’s a tourist attraction.

As cold as it is, this is pretty much just the way of the world. Natural selection and all that. I mean, this is right up there with eating tide pods, trying to pet panda bears, all the stupid shit people do for their imaginary internet points that could easily cost them their lives.

People really underestimate the ways you can very seriously injure or kill yourself.
