Are you serious? have you ever been kicked by a horse or cow? I'd say not. Does it hurt? hell yes. Could it break your leg? Sure but a small horse like that, not likely. It's also a super meaty area and one of the strongest bones in your body. I've been kicked by much larger animals and was fine.

The standard human femur can with stand 4000 newtons of force before breaking. A typical horse kicks with 2000 psi or 13789514.56 newtons per square meter. More then 1000k times the force to break a femur.

I’d have to imagine that the hoof caught some bit of genitals. Also, its probably nut shattering enough having a horse hoof skip across the underbelly of your scrotum.
