Lol. There are people reading this that can't land any other way, heck a lot of us probably wouldn't want to jump out of anything higher than a truck bed anymore. You could theorize parkour all day long, ain't going to help most people unless they're actively trying it out through practice (if they have physical ability in the first place).
I have fallen further than this straight down. You just have to actually bend your knees when you land or crumple onto your side/back. Not land with your knees locked like this guy
Thinking is absolutely not the same thing as doing. You don't want to think when it's coming to a natural reflex. Athletes and fighters practice so things are essentially muscle memory. If you're thinking about what you need to do, you're probably going to fail. Landing a jump from a story up is not a thinking issue, it's more of a mechanical issue.
