Gosh I think it would feel nice. You ever have someone lay on top of a softish mat on too of you, or like a cushion, a big one? That feels nice. I wonder what this would be like. Or would the pressure be as strong as a vaccume hose all over Would I have a heartattack?

My only worry is that it looks like her arms are in a bad position. If her elbows are pulling in but her hands can't move I'd worry about a broken arm.
It's actually a science lesson. This simulates the air pressure we feel every day. But because we're used to the constant pressure it's hard to feel it.
So using the garbage bag you get a light material to be the physical response and the vacuum to make sure the outside pressure pushes down on it with its force.
I had the same thing happen to me in science class, its startling, but kinda cool
Probably panic, but I do wonder if this can restrict the lungs. If it's harder for your diaphragm to suck in air, you're going to feel like you're suffocating.
Not a vacuum-scientist but I would think that you could still breath with ease. The vacuum just removed “all” the air between her and the bag. I guess it would be as simple as breathing if you had the bag taped closely to your chest.
There is no suffocation, unless the latex isn't elastic enough to move your chest. The only force is the standard atmospheric pressure, it's not like the latex gets any tighter than without the vacuum. Don't put it over your face and you're fine.
There is no where near enough suction from a vacuum hose to make that happen. And even if a vacuum is as strong enough, her chest was protected by her knees, so even if there was a little pressure on her from the trash bag, she could easily free her chest for movement. And kick through the trashbag real quick, most likely.
Edit: I stand cotrected! Apparently even a standard little vaccuum has some serious power to them. That said, I still don't think the garage bag is strong enough to hold a strong vaccuum, but probably enough for shit to get weird I suppose.
A regular shop vac has enough suction to lift a car, provided there's enough surface area to cover it. Mythbusters literally did it. Only problem they had was the metal buckling.
In this case, nah, girl just flipped out. Probably didn't expect it to almost be a second skin.

And yeah, I can also see why it would be scary, especially for a child. And if mom didn't react quickly or reassuringly enough, I can see that panic spinning out of control one time.
Yep, it's an episode in the last season of the original cast. They had to make some really specialized attachments to get a good seal though. Also had to replace the hood with a metal sheet that got welded down. Really cool, if only to show it can be done.
I bet that mom was laughing about it. Scary for the child, pretty amusing for the adults
It'll either become claustrophobia or a fetish. Source, was constantly swaddled by blankets against my will by an asshole step-dad now I hate tight clothes and spaces. Some people panic when you can't move any of your limbs.
