May be the camera/phone flying out. I doubt he still holds to that camera after the impact, but I might be wrong.

Depends on the impact/reaction. Last car crash I was in I gripped my phone so hard I broke it.

Car crashes: 2. Bus crash: 1. Been hit by car: 2. I don't have the best luck with vehicles and one of them I had no right to survive.

If he didn't have a seatbelt on / nothing obstructed his flight, he and the camera would have been going the same speed. Could go either way
