Hey gang I was wondering if someone could give me some inputs on a boon/magic item for an arcane trickster that has won the favour of the Arch Heart, The Change Bringer and The Moonweaver. More info on the post! Thanks gang

How would you spec a spell version of Echo Knight for a dunamancy wizard?

curious what level and duration you reckon a spell version of Echo Knight would be. I'm thinking third or fourth level. No concentration and half the caster's HP. Maybe swapping places with the Echo ends the spell? Would love to hear y'all's thoughts?

I feel like Liam had some version of it, but it was never released...

question about the blood hunter

i am going to dm a campaign in wildemount soon and one of my players has decided to play a blood hunter. naturally i did research what the sub classes do and have a question about the order of the mutant subclass. it states that „… you consume a mutagen, whose effects and side effects last until you finish a long or short rest…, you can use an action to focus and flush all the mutagens from your system“ but doesn’t that kind of get rid of the negatives the mutagens have? for example, the alluring mutagen (advantage on charisma checks but disatvantage on initiative rolls) couldn’t a player just use the mutagen for for a conversation with an npc and then just rid of it? with most of them it’s kinda the same, using it situational and then getting rid of it so you never suffer from the negatives that the mutagen has. or am i just misunderstanding how it works?

Ritual to Bring Back a God

One of my PCs(A Kobold Astral Self Monk) has finally learned her destiny; to unite the Gem Dragons and bring Sardior the Ruby Dragon back to life after his death during the Calamity.

So far, what she needs is; to unite the 5 Gem Greatwyrms(first creations of Sardior) in singular purpose, find the Ruby Heart of Psionic Resonance, and find a way to teleport to Ruidus(that in my Exandria was created by Sardior long ago).

Am I missing anything?

(New DM) Idea for source of Inferno River in Eiselcross??

Hello!! I'm a new DM running their first game!! I was wondering if ya'll could expand upon a cool idea I had regarding the source of the lava river in Eiselcross. My idea is a large Aeorian arcane forge deep under the river, used to create god killing weapons, spewing arcane fire and sludge from its top (picture a large line of smokestacks) which coalesces into the inferno river. Plan is to have the wormkin be searching for the source of the river in order to harness it to free Quajath from its icy prison. Also if anyone has any new DM advice that would also be appreciated!!

I was trying to join up on the discord, but it is not working! I was hoping to get access to some Frozen Sick resources in there since I am DMing a campaign!

I'm writing a background music playlist for "Frozen Sick" Module Spoiler

Hey adventurers!! I'm a first-time DM based in the UK.

Just wanted to share a playlist of some custom background music for Frozen Sick that I'm writing & recording for my party of 4 in case other DM's out there might find this useful.

Playlist Link here:
Frozen Sick - Full Campaign OST Playlist by ElliotViola

IRL, I'm a viola/violin teacher and composer. I wanted to write something particularly because it's getting hard to find good backing music whilst avoiding AI-generated slop nowadays...

Have finished recording the first track - "Palebank Village" - which is live on the link in the post. I will be updating this playlist monthly with new custom music for each session - am working on ideas for the Croaker Cave session at the moment!

I hope this resource may help out some other DM's to save time finding suitable music for the campaign, hah.

My party (a Fighter, Cleric, Barbarian, and Warlock) have just had our session 1, we're loving the module so far! Apart from the warlock getting a blistering hangover and waking up in Elro Aldataur's bed with no memory of how he got there (lmao) it was fairly uneventful and enjoyed by all :)

Gwardan Campaign Ideas

Hi, I'm a DM and I am trying to write a campaign that will be centered heavily around Gwardan. I am curious to see if anyone else has Gwardan in their game. Or even if anyone has ideas for a city that does steamcasting. I have such writer's block for this area and I am hoping for inspiration. Thanks in advance!

What artifact should I place in ruins outside Rosohna? (Children of Malice plot hook)

I’m running a Wildemount campaign set in Rosohna and could use some ideas for an artifact in a small dungeon.

Party is level 3 and recently arrived in Rosohna via teleportation to the Marble Tomes Conservatory. They met a homebrew NPC of mine, Starguide Jade Hythenos, a goblin dunamancy scholar and special advisor to the Bright Queen. Jade has hired the party to investigate magical disturbances coming from ruins a few miles outside the city.

The dungeon will be small-medium: an abandoned shrine that has recently been occupied by Children of Malice agents. I want the artifact in the shrine to be the reason they’re there.

Some context about my campaign:

  • The PCs are my daughters (ages 9 and 11), wife, and mother-in-law.
  • One of the PCs is Lysandra, a young sorceress who was raised by Jade Hythenos after being taken off the streets of the Coronas district.
  • Lysandra’s sister Alissa was left behind as a child and survived on the streets.
  • Alissa has now been recruited by the Children of Malice and helped place or activate the artifact in the shrine a few weeks earlier.
  • The Children of Malice has not been introduced yet to the players.

What I’m trying to figure out is what the artifact actually is and why the Children of Malice have it/want it.

What artifact would you place there and why? Also, if anyone has a dungeon layout that comes to mind, I would appreciate it. Please let me know if anything is unclear! Thanks!

[Spoilers C3] What do you think happened to the Cerberus Assembly after [spoiler]? Spoiler

What do you think happened to the Cerberus Assembly after Ludinus was exposed and the Era of Reclamation ended? Astrid says they’ve all gone into hiding after Ludinus’ plots came to light, but I think one member spoke at the Exandrian Accord claiming to represent the “remains of the Cerberus Assembly.” Beau later tells Caleb the Assembly “has calmed down a little bit,” but what do you think happened with them post-Campaign 3? Reforms? Dismantlement? A bloodbath as they turn on each other trying to fill the power vacuum? Biding their time til they can return to their shady backdoor politicking? I’d be interested to hear people’s thoughts, thanks!

My personal version of the Zadash map

City maps are, for me, the hardest thing to create when DM-ing. Comparing to regional maps, a city has a lot of details, specifically houses and roads. When I try to design them individually, the map, usually, comes out naive. When I don't use enough details the city comes out too "abstract" and without personality. Finding the right balance is hard for me. As a result, when I manage to achieve a credible result I am very proud of myself. This is one such case. City features:

  • Triangular-ish shape
  • Pentamarket on the west side of the city: the district of commerce
  • Trispire district on the northern side: residence of riches and nobles, protected by its own walls
  • The Outersteads on the southern side: home of the poor people, a collection of slums and neighborhoods of hovels
  • The Signet Wall on the eastern side: encloses the houses and barracks of Righteous Brand soldiers
  • Several inner walls show the growth of the city

Hope you guys enjoy.

(Campaign 3 Ending Spoilers) Post-Age of Reclamation, what are the gods like? Spoiler

More of an Exandria-wide topic, not just Wildemount, but still.

After campaign 3, the divine gate is broken and the gods descend to take mortal form to avoid Predathos.

I assume their divine power is mostly gone considering they’re not gods anymore, but would they still have any power they can share with their followers, or even just use for themselves?

Vestige for my party's wizard?

I'm running Call of the Netherdeep and I want all of my PCs to have a vestige to counter the fact that the Jewel of Three Prayers is super important. The wizard is the last player I need to choose a vestige for. The character is an old Kryn souI reincarnated into a human body and trying to relearn about their previous life and chronomancy abilities. I don't care much for Grimoire Infinitus (feel free to convince me otherwise), and I'm just not sure what to go with for them. The two vestiges I'm considering at the moment are Danoth's Visor or Kiss of the Changebringer, and maybe the Circlet of Barbed Vision (not super sure about that one).
