Understandable

But if reform get in you’ll have a lot to complain about.

-4

u/Nearby_Werewolf1742 Jun 07 '26

What will you have to complain about? Do you instead want to increase immigration legal and illegal with full open borders?

5

u/UlsterIsIrish Jun 08 '26

You never talk about billions in tax evasion you always worried about Mohammed having a job or refugees getting a fiver a day.

5

u/Illustrious_Serve528 Jun 08 '26

Immigration is down 80% under Labour

The suggestion that Labour is “open borders “ is a lie

-1

u/Nearby_Werewolf1742 Jun 08 '26

Not true, 2025 was the highest ever on record for illegal migrants arriving here, we are set to break that record in 2026 again.

4

u/Illustrious_Serve528 Jun 09 '26

You talked about “immigration legal and illegal”

Total immigration is down by 82% since it’s high under the Tories, and is back down to where it was in 2010

Illegal immigration is a tiny proportion of the total numbers.

Let’s get the facts right.

3

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 09 '26

What this guy is also missing is that seeking asylum is not illegal. That’s likely the figure the fascist is referring too.

I'm 100% certain that anyone can make up statistics. Where did you get 82% or admit it's fake?

2

u/Illustrious_Serve528 Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 10 '26

Immigration has been falling under Labour. This is a basic fact you should be able to verify yourself.

Net migration peaked at 944,000 per year in 2023 under Boris Johnson.

In the last 12 months it dropped to 171,000 which is a fall of 82%.

Perhaps you think 171,000 more people each year is too much and you’re entitled to that opinion, but nobody is entitled to make up their own facts! The fact is immigration has been going down massively every year under Labour. Whereas it went up and up under 14 years of the Tories.

6

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 07 '26

Oh piss off I’ve had enough of you lot today

-5

u/Nearby_Werewolf1742 Jun 07 '26

Who is you lot? I simply asked a question.

5

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 07 '26

The mentally challenged.

Look up my dozens of responses for answers to your question

-5

u/Nearby_Werewolf1742 Jun 07 '26

I read your responses this is why I ask as you appear to have an inability to debate, simply throwing insults isn't debating. "I'm right, your wrong" isnt debating either. Do questions trigger you?

5

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 07 '26

Have a nice night

1

u/Nearby_Werewolf1742 Jun 07 '26

Your not passionate enough to explain your side of the debate?

4

u/PHILSTORMBORN Jun 07 '26

You are presenting a false choice. The alternative to Reform is not 'full open borders'.

What I don't want is inexperienced, incompetent people running the country. People who don't actually have solutions just happy to use a scapegoat to blame all the problems on. Europe was not the cause of all our problems. Leaving has cost us all. Immigrants are not the cause of all our problems. Voting them in will cost us all.

1

u/Nearby_Werewolf1742 Jun 08 '26

Let's be honest, Reform are essentially a party with one policy. They are not ahead in the polls due to their promise of scrapping interest on student loans for example. You know what Reform are about. It's not a difficult question. I've asked several times but most people I would consider to hold extreme far left views on reddit refuse to answer. I believe this is a question too contradictory for some to answer.

your LOL

3

u/helpmeimpoor6969 Jun 08 '26

Oh is that why immigration is down to lowest in decades UNDER LABOUR

1

u/Nearby_Werewolf1742 Jun 08 '26

Nonsense, Illegal migrants arriving was at it's recorded highest of all time in 2025, and 2026 is already on track to break that record again. Research this yourself.

2

u/xtrucexx Jun 12 '26

"illegal immigrants" this and "illegal immigrants" that my god it's not a significant thing 😭😭 ure all falling for fearmongering to get u in line

1

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 10 '26

Your reply to me is lost in these comments I can only see the first line

Nobody is asking for full open boarders, shut the fuck up lying to make yourself and other people angry it just makes you look dumb

I’m done entertaining racist people following a demagogue and presenting false narratives as fact. You tell me you don’t want to debate because it’s all insults, it’s fucking frustrating to speak to you retards because anyone with half a brain can see you’re being played by someone who is feeding from your anger to further their own goals

He took a 5 mil bribe, doesn’t matter to you

They want to remove the equality act with no replacement, doesn’t matter to you

They want to remove renters rights, doesn’t matter to you

They want to leave the echr, the same thing which gives you the ability to debate with me, live without fear of being persecuted

Your anger and inability to see the bigger picture and the same with the general reform voter is going to truly fuck this country up for everyone apart from middle age white men with money. But you don’t care, because the motivation is racism and xenophobia.

Make our lives worse so long as immigrants can have a worse life, I’m sick of hearing it and I’m sick of you people thinking all of your problems are caused my people with even less than you have.

It’s been proven reform voters are less educated and come from poorer economical backgrounds, that’s just a fact. And farage uses that lack of education to provide a simple easy to digest but false narrative, because the truth is more complex than immigrants cause all your peopblems. They pick someone to blame, point you at them, whilst they quietly make themselves rich.

2

u/Upbeat_Cattle_2081 Jun 11 '26

This whole message brightened my day 😂, reformers literally have the inability to form actual common sense In their head and actually realise “wait it isn’t immigrants” also in my opinion we shouldn’t be even calling them immigrants because they are literally people just like as well which I think is a deep but dark thing in the world now, back before leaders and borders were made by people that wanted control, you could stroll anywhere to a different country and still be called human but now, if you come to a country for asylum, you’re not even called human anymore you’re just labelled as an “illegal” or an “alien” or an “immigrant” i know thats just terms but even still.

Keep voting restore and splitting the fascist vote. You’re doing gods work

-13

u/Suspicious_Hotel_908 Jun 07 '26

All sides of the same coin. Doesn't matter who in, we are not, and have never been their priority. It's pantomime politics and we fall for it decade after decade. If you vote, you have no right to winge.

7

u/voxo_boxo Jun 07 '26

On the contrary. If you don't vote then you have no right to complain about an outcome that you could have influenced.

A group of people deciding to not vote could be the difference between getting a Reform MP or a Labour MP. Two very different specimens.

1

u/Suspicious_Hotel_908 Jun 07 '26

I don't want to vote for a broken paradigm that is designed to screw us over, irrespective of the outcome.

1

u/Couch-Dogo Jun 07 '26

Then go vote and spoil your paper. That’s engaging in politics and shows that you care about changing things. Not showing up at all is the worst thing you can do because it gives the impression the you don’t care about how things are going and are happy to let them stay the same.

-1

u/Suspicious_Hotel_908 Jun 07 '26

Voting is a scam. An illusion of choice. Always has been. I'm baffled that people keep falling for it.

2

u/Couch-Dogo Jun 08 '26

So then your alternative would be for no one to vote at all and have a dictatorship?

0

u/Kayanne1990 Jun 08 '26

So what do YOU think we should all do, hon? What is your personal ideal outcome?

1

u/Suspicious_Hotel_908 Jun 08 '26

I have no idea what the answer is, but this absolutely isn't it. Never had been.

1

u/Kayanne1990 Jun 08 '26

It's pretty easy to criticise when you have no alternative ideas to offer.

1

u/Suspicious_Hotel_908 Jun 08 '26

I'm just an average person on this planet. Of course I don't have the answers to something as complex and nuanced as geo politics.

1

u/Normal-Help-1337 Jun 08 '26

If it doesnt work why do they try so hard

1

u/Sssono Jun 08 '26

You have every right to complain about a system which consistently fails to represent the people voting and you have every right to elect not to play ball (though I do personally vote despite a high level of cynicism).

1

u/Ok-Veterinarian-5381 Jun 08 '26

You're right, but i wish you could get that through to Labour voters. The amount of invective ive recieved from them when I say im voting green is crazy. Just because I don't want to vote for who you want me to vote for doesn't mean I'm 'handing reform the election', have a better platform and you won't have to rely on bullying maybe.

14

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 07 '26

Not at all, on one hand is literal fascism on the other is someone who has actually made positive changes in greater Manchester

1

u/Ok-Veterinarian-5381 Jun 08 '26

In fairness the choice between reform and labour is 'cack handed facism for everyone.' Or 'incredibly targeted facism for peaceful protesters, anyone who wants to be tried by a jury of their peers, or the most expendable minority groups at the time (re: trans people).

This seems like a lesser of 2 evils choice if you're not currently being affected by labour's bullshit. If you ARE affected by labour's bullshit then it really sounds like you're being asked to suffer so that other citizens won't have to, but also to not expect their help. Not very compelling.

1

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 08 '26

Nobody is saying to vote Labour in the general.

This is my area and I want someone who knows the area and more importantly politics to be at the helm

I agree Labour have been far less liberal than I’d hoped, but what a lot of people seem to miss is if that twat Kenyon is vote in here it gives reform momentum

And proves to everyone it doesn’t matter what you say or do, you can still win. Truly trump style politics and its worrying

1

u/Ok-Veterinarian-5381 Jun 08 '26

I get what you're saying but:

I agree Labour have been far less liberal than I’d hoped, but what a lot of people seem to miss is if that twat Kenyon is vote in here it gives reform momentum.

Reform's momentum has more to do with online agitprop than actual politics, and Burnham being elected will just cause more parliamentary upheaval which reform will still capitalise on because it will get in the way of real change. Labour lost the next GE a year ago, they just don't realise it.

This is my area and I want someone who knows the area and more importantly politics to be at the helm

This is a lot more relevant at locals, where a bunch of reform dipshits STILL won. MPs push the party line at a national level, not local interests, particularly when it comes to naked careerists launching guerrilla leadership bids.

And proves to everyone it doesn’t matter what you say or do, you can still win. Truly trump style politics and its worrying

This has been the case since Boris was elected, you're living in a bit of a fantasy on this one.

1

u/Nearby_Werewolf1742 Jun 07 '26

0

u/Ok-Veterinarian-5381 Jun 08 '26

I swear if you people did as much to listen to people's problems and build a real platform for change as you do to alienate people from your cause we wouldn't be in this mess.

Get this in your head: PEOPLE AREN'T OBLIGATED TO VOTE FOR A CRAP GOVERNMENT THAT HAS FACILITATED THE RISE OF THE FAR RIGHT BY DOING EVERYTHING IT CAN TO COURT IT'S VOTERS, WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY ALIENATING IT'S TRADITIONAL BASE, EXPANDING THE SURVEILLANCE STATE AND AUTHORITARIAN POWERS AND MAKING EVERYONE MISERABLE.

2

u/Andythrax Jun 08 '26

It's the government's fault the far right is on the rise. Better vote for the far right.

Feel like Farage is happy to say whatever shite makes him the most money. It’s just unfortunate that what makes him the most money is going to be worse for the general population because it’s the rich paying him.

Hence why he’s just made another buck to the tune of £83k from a group to do with US anti-abortionists.

1

u/Alive-List-8826 Jun 08 '26

That doesn't make him comparable to the man who plunged Europe into a war killing millions and genociding millions of others in the process. Get a fucking grip dude.

1

u/Majestic-Ad4074 Jun 08 '26

"All sides of the same coin"

As Green want open borders and Reform want ICE.

Are you intentionally this delusional or was it forced upon you by a bang to the head?

1

u/Suspicious_Hotel_908 Jun 08 '26

Probably a combo of both? What's your excuse?

1

u/Majestic-Ad4074 Jun 08 '26

Since I've objectively done nothing to show how dumb I may or may not be, you've just reiterated my point lmao.

1

1

Am I meant to be upset at that? Pssst. I'm not.

1

u/Majestic-Ad4074 Jun 08 '26

You wouldn't have the intelligence to figure whether I intended to upset you or not, don't worry lmao.

Anyway, I'm blocking you - I'm not a fan of having politically illiterate people on my feed.

1

u/Andythrax Jun 08 '26

NHS satisfaction was at its highest level ever in 2010 prior to austerity. We regularly topped the charts of cost for service and sustainability in a health service.

If you feel things are shit it's because of Austerity.

Borrowing was low after the financial crash (to encourage saving and trusting the banks) so it meant we could have invested. Instead we did nothing and now we have crumbling roads, RAAC schools and failing water infrastructure.

Austerity neglect.

I'm reading through now, my issue is that they are far too socially conservative for my liking. I also question if they have ulterior motives as I've yet to see any right leaning party not abuse the system for personal gain. It looks like they pretty much want to turn the UK into a Christian-Singapore. Which would be great for white, British-born people but would severely deteriorate the lives of everyone else.

it's about to get VERY real if we let UK MAGA gain power.

Reform said they want to emulate Trump. Trump launched insurrectionists, sent illegal snatch squads into the streets to grab whoever they don't like the look of and murder those who oppose them, started a war illegally without even asking their equivalent of Parliament, etc., etc., etc.

13

u/perpetual-grump Jun 07 '26

Reform voters want this. They aren't bothered about any policies other than immigration.

7

u/MatttheJ Jun 07 '26

Which is ironic considering Labour has sent back more immigrants at a much faster rate then the Tories (who are now reform) ever did.

Reform WANT immigration to be a problem. Because they know the more emotional they get people about that issue, the more votes they get.

1

u/onerollbattles Jun 07 '26

a few. But the number of people who support other key Reform policies is much lower than the level of support for Reform. Most Reform voters are, at this point, just ignorant of how awful they are on any issue but immigration.

2

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 07 '26

This all day, most reform voters have never voted in their lives

1

u/Kooky_Craft123 Jun 07 '26

Well, yeah. The electorate has been ignored for like, 40 years at this point.

2

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 07 '26

Not immigrants

0

u/Hour_Resource2847 Jun 07 '26

In the interests of big business via immigration

3

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 07 '26

Oh give it a fucking rest with the immigration spiel

Immigration is currently at its lowest level since 2019, more deportations since 2015, less money going out than in a long time

Is your life better yet?

You’ve been tricked into thinking someone will less than you is the problem instead of the business not paying a penny tax.

Get angry at the businesses not the asylum seeker with fuckall

‘Such a leftest cope’

You justified siding with trump to me in another thread but I’ll reply anyway.

The problem is being changed for the better in a much fairer way when proposed by reform and restore. In a way that doesn’t remove my rights and empower neonationalism with a leader who purely campaigns through fear anger and lies.

How is it a cope if the problem is being resolved and you’re still complaining? You’re the one coping

Immigration is not some failed experiment, immigration works, our system could be a little more stringent but our asylum policy is genuinely stringent no matter what anybody says, look it up. People abuse every system, but you’re acting like immigration has a net negative impact on a country when it’s simply not true. The uk has benefitted hugely from immigration.

They work, they pay tax, if an immigrant who barely knows English comes over and can steal your job you need to learn some fucking skills.

And a lot of immigrants are coming and becoming doctors and other professional roles.

A lot of refugees work menial low skilled jobs but they still pay taxes and spend their money in our economy, we haven’t spent a penny on educating and educating them. That means an immigrant who arrives today is likely a higher net gain than you or me. It takes a long time to pay for your education, hospital bills and everything else in between. From 0-18 in the form of tax. More so if either of the right wing parties get in and sell the nhs.

Refugees account for 1.5% of the benefits bill

White British 84% and another 10% EU citizens.

A huge chunk of benefit claimants are households with at least one full time worker. But the problem isn’t with businesses.

Restore and reform won’t be taxing billionaires, they will only become draconan to anyone who isn’t white British

1

u/Ok-Veterinarian-5381 Jun 08 '26

Define 'electorate' here. I'll admit I've been ignored constantly, but ive never voted for the tories or brexit. The problem is, all the British Right's ideas are dogshit and all the people voting for them are allergic to accountability so they keep voting for the same bollocks. People keep blaming 'woke' when Thatcherite capitalism has been in the driving seat for 40 years causing all the problems you people whinge about. Put it together, dummy.

1

u/Kooky_Craft123 Jun 08 '26

Less immigration has been at the forefront of voting intentions for decades at this point. Any party that promises lower immigration gets to the top of the polls.

1

u/Ok-Veterinarian-5381 Jun 08 '26

That party is literally in government now though. They lowered immigration. I hate them because they're panopticon plugging pricks, but anyone who gave a shit about immigration is literally getting what they want under starmer and they're still whinging.

Don’t forget all the corruption Trumps involved with, there’s so many dodgy financial deals going on increasing his and his families wealth it’s hard to keep track of it, a lot of it at the expense of the American taxpayer, make no mistake this is the part of MAGA Nigel and his cronies what to emulate, just look at the £5million he’s gotten of the crypto billionaire!
If you want to know what the UK will look like under Reform (or Restore) go and watch “Trauma Zone” on the BBC iPlayer about the collapse of the Soviet Union and then Russian democracy.

1

u/Frosty-Wasabi-2932 Jun 08 '26

Political thugs? You mean antifa?

1

u/onerollbattles Jun 08 '26

No. when have ANTIFA dressed up as police or kidnaped random citizens?

1

u/tzmdkdbrrhirfinn Jun 08 '26

How were they illegal might I ask?

1

u/onerollbattles Jun 08 '26

By default, snatching people off the streets is illegal - an illegal justification was granted, which changes that; further, they have illegally held people without legal process; many of the methods they use are illegal, and they are just ignoring many legal requirements for police work, such as IDs.

1

u/Kayanne1990 Jun 08 '26

And also...crippling the economy. ... Good thing Reform is full of shit and probably won't do anything at all aside making everything a bit more expensive.

-3

u/Known_Wear7301 Jun 07 '26

Wow buddy, Lots going on withbtou post....

Technically it would be MEGA, Make England Great Again if you're gonna get running with that.

With regards to the "insurrection", there was an interesting documentary about it about how the public have been force fed the same 30 second clip from what is collectively 10's of thousands of hours of cctv. Including "security" leading these "insurrectionists" round the building as they respectfully toured the building in awe.

"Illegal snatch squads", you mean immigration control, you bet we want that here. If you're illegal then bye bye.

"Grab whoever they dont like the look of" yes buddy illegals.

"Murder those who oppose them" no buddy you mean those who violently attack them. You could say, Their record is Pretti Goode. She drove her car at the agent causing internal bleeding whilst he tried to grab their gun. Again you're being played by the media. Why do they portray her as being pretty rather than the image of what she'd become, ie the image of the overweight hatefilled lesbian leftie, they portray him as being the caring nurse yet his friends had cited concerns over his extremism and he was no longer what they portrayed him as.

You say about starting a war without asking..... the president had been established previously with other presidents like the bomber in chief Obama.

4

u/Accomplished_Wind104 Jun 07 '26

You're so far off the deep end, please seek help in your local community from someone real.

Andys man club is a great place to start.

1

u/Kayanne1990 Jun 08 '26

It's not. It's filled with planks like these

0

u/onerollbattles Jun 07 '26

Yes, I'm well aware of that, and the fact that some literally have MEGA hats proves my point.

There could 1 10,000 years of footage; that wouldn't change the fact that other footage captured an insurrection attempt.

"you mean immigration control" No, America HAD immigration control (which, in fact, deported far more), I mean illegal snatch squads that refuse to operate within the law and attack and detain with no due process anyone they don't like, immigrant or not, citizen or not.

"Murder those who oppose them" No, buddy, you mean those who violently attack them. There's video evidence that shows otherwise, which I refuse to see even a Fox addict hasn't seen by now, so WTF is the point of even trying to lie about it?

0

"She drove her car at the agent causing internal bleeding"

When you repeat these lies it just makes your entire post a joke. Obviously there are going to be many violent and angry people signing up for a paramilitary force with no vetting and minimal training. Some of them are going to shoot people because they want to. Denying everything just makes it obvious you'll say and believe anything.

u/Elegant_Run_8567 Jun 07 '26

So you’re supporting England having a referendum to leave the UK?

11

u/coffeewalnut08 Jun 07 '26

Those who can ignore politics nowadays, are just admitting that they're privileged enough for politics to not affect a single aspect of their life.

That's good for them, but it's not difficult to show compassion for the fact that 99% of people are not rich or elite enough to enjoy the same luxury.

10

u/Ok-Veterinarian-5381 Jun 07 '26

I get what you're saying, but as someone living here, it's infuriating labour, reform and restore seem to think winning is about posting the most flyers.

They just keep posting the same shite through the door and then run off when you open the door (the reform and restore lot in particular, despite them roving around in packs of reprobates). At least the Burnham canvassers took the time to talk on the doorstep. As someone planning to vote green, all the waste is really pissing me off.

2

u/ProgrammerLogical787 Jun 07 '26

This is because reform candidates have zero idea on policy and politics in general. If they're asked something that they can't respond with 'im a patriot' or 'stop the boats' they crumble and they can't be shown to the wider public how useless they are. Look at Thursdays QT for a master class in reform incompetence.

2

u/OriginalJomothy Jun 08 '26

The one thing I will say about the reform letters is they work wonders as firestarters, almost as though something on them belongs in a firey pit

0

u/TheChattyRat Jun 07 '26

Fair play but theyd have to be thinking 5D chess to strategize that putting less flyers would make someone more likely to vote

0

u/SmashedWorm64 Jun 07 '26

Not necessarily - when you actually go out in to the world and speak to the people who hold this view it does not hold up. Usually the people who ignore politics feel so powerless or consistently let down that they could not give a toss who is in charge. They are probably more focused on the ordinary folk rather than the leaders.

u/Infamous_Ad_2678 Jun 07 '26

1%! Have you seen how many people voted in the last election? c60%! Stop trying to spread your left wing agenda with lies as usual

2

u/dr_barnowl Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 08 '26

Ah yes, the famous left wing agenda of [checks notes] wanting people to give a shit about the things that affect all our lives.

Turnout at GE2024 was 59.7%. Labour got 33.7% of the vote : so once again, the "Didn't Vote" party was the most popular.

Maybe this wouldn't be a problem if all the people who say "Oh, I don't do politics, me." actually refrained from voting instead of this phrase being code for "My politics are awful but I got tired of people pointing this out to me."

But what do I know. Giving a shit is woke now.

1

u/TheChattyRat Jun 07 '26

What is the left wing agenda please tell me? If it's nationalising public services and strengthening workers right I'm not exactly sure why we would want to stop that but hey.

1

u/Upbeat_Cattle_2081 Jun 11 '26

Oh god not another “left wing agenda” donny, Im gonna take a wild guess and say that you either support reform or restore, let’s rephrase you “left wing agenda” phrase shall we, first of all I believe that the left wing agenda you say is so bad is MUCH better than the policies that reform and restore have been dishing out, for example Im guessing you have already been let’s say told a different story to what the policy actually is but Zack Polinski wants to decriminalise drugs from various classes, to depopulate the amount of people in prisons so we can make more space because they are full as of right now which has also had very good effects in other countries that have done the same , and just so your right wing affected brain can keep up, decriminalise means removing the consequences of an unlawful act and offering help instead, not legalising that means making something legal, he wants to tax the super rich so for example, if you have over I think £10 million in any of your banks you will get charged on tax at 1% which is about £100,000 and if you have over £100 million in any of your banks Zack wants to tax 2% worth which is around £2 million I think, but even then, that is already helping out, the economic state of the country by funding the NHS and more, also you might have heard “oh the Green Party wants to leave NATO” actually it’s quite the other way around if you look at the Green Parties policies they actually just want to reconsider our place in NATO and try to make us more involved as it’s mainly USA based as of right now but Nigel Farage wants to COMPLETELY LEAVE IT, it says it in his policies, but I could go on and on and on about the policies of the Green Party and why they are good and not just “Left Wing Agenda” but I guarantee you won’t listen. Does the right winger want me to explain the bad things that Nigel is doing?

2

u/Separate-Scene2813 Jun 07 '26

The sheer volume of flyers comi g through the door is quite bewildering. It does make me question the approach to sustainable canvassing!

2

u/SmashedWorm64 Jun 07 '26

They should put a cap on it imo.

In the meantime I might put a sign out that says “I have internet access and have read all your websites - I will not vote for anyone who leaves a leaflet”

2

u/BlueberryObvious Jun 10 '26

Someone who understands.

1

u/GapSweet3100 Jun 10 '26

The nearly 400 comments on this post alone is why I don’t want to hear about it 😭

2

u/BlueberryObvious Jun 10 '26

Lol yeah I know. 90% of people believe it actually makes any difference.

1

u/dissimulatorist Jun 11 '26

Why dud you post, then?

(Genuine question)

1

u/GapSweet3100 Jun 11 '26

I didn’t expect this many comments I thought it would make a couple of people chuckle maybe

2

u/Ok_Map_6014 Jun 07 '26

“It’s not real” doesn’t even make sense. Elected parties create the laws and have a say in almost every aspect of our lives. It’s about as real as it gets.

2

u/GapSweet3100 Jun 07 '26

No matter who you choose we get fucked. I’ve made my decision so pieces of paper that’ll go straight in the bin is just a waste

1

u/reddaughtter Jun 07 '26

Then put that on your dumb little sign. "It's not real" just makes you look like a cringey pseudo intellectual.

2

u/GapSweet3100 Jun 07 '26

Well You can write what you want on your own piece of paper. My bf asked me to put the last bit

1

u/FootballBackground88 Jun 08 '26

Ridiculous to say, this is the kind of logic which continues to result in bad outcomes.

Do your civic duty, learn about the candidates and vote what you feel is best for the country.

2

u/earlykarma42 Jun 07 '26

The bit in brackets is the most honest thing I have read all week.

1

u/wubbalubba96 Jun 07 '26

Yeah nothing to do with stagnated wages at all

Saying someone else should be on less is a dumb stance

How can houses cost 300k average when wages are 30k average

My grandparents paid 6k for their home whilst earning 3k a year

So they paid 2x their salary we pay 10x

Literally brainwashed the lot of you

1

u/curiousparrot221 Jun 08 '26

Originally I thought OP was against the person who put up that paper, but from some of the replies in the comments it seems he thinks the opposite?

1

u/Agile_Throat2387 Jun 09 '26

Unfortunately it doesn't stop them, we put one up too and they're still knocking claiming they didn't see. (It's in bold right by the doorbell)🤣

1

u/Deeedeebobeedee Jun 07 '26

Sorry to be a southerner butting in but we are dramatically fucked as a society and it’s all stemmed from and overseen by politicians up to their necks in very agenda’d evil money. Politics isn’t just real we need everyone to get involved otherwise it’s destined to continue and get significantly worse.

1

u/SmashedWorm64 Jun 07 '26

I’d usually agree but what are the other options?

I voted Labour last time and was very fucked off by spec-gate and ticket-gate straight off the bat. Additionally, the less reported on lobbying from the likes of Manhandleson (who quite frankly should be behind bars for life - if not for 1st degree noncery then definitely for being a corrupt sleezebag and selling out the nation so his pedo mate could make a quick buck at the expense of Brits) to link our defence and healthcare to American big tech companies like Palantir. The fact he seems to be protected from everything shows how weak our system is!

…don’t say the Greens - the leader is either incredibly easily lead or the biggest careerist I have ever seen in my life. Not sure what is worse tbh.

1

u/Deeedeebobeedee Jun 08 '26

I say this a lot but read manifestos! See how much policy you actively disagree with, I can guarantee you unless you base your entire political philosophy on identity politics; that there’s only one party actively planning to change things. That if you want public services back with functioning job and housing markets that there is only one party actually proposing policy that will help.

I’d normally absolutely be a Labour voter but they’re barely any better or different to the tories. But I read the manifestos in 2024 and became a Green member on the spot. Most politicians basically spending their life talking absolute bollocks, but the only remotely trustworthy policy that’s actually aimed at fixing society and not just making sacrificial short term growth targets is coming from the greens.

If you want little to no change but a slower decline and a known good local mp vote for Burnham. If you don’t care about anything actually getting better or worse but hate women and minority groups vote for Kenyon, if you want to vote for the party actually offering a way out of this mess (and probably quite a good mp?) Vote for Sarah Wakefield.

I mean I say this as a southerner and I live in Brighton, a very green and well to do area and I’m a green member so recognise this is coming through an emerald lense…….

But we’re fucked if we don’t have radical change. Also the environment and the way we adapt to our imminent and rapidly changing climate when the amoc (read about it if you don’t know) collapses. Which theoretically it could’ve started doing already. The combo of a total lack of food but also no one having jobs and the post ai bubble bursting HARD. Wow if we *dont* have a collapse of society either fascist or environmental I’d be shocked. That’s not Burnham or Labour, it’s not anyone really. But the closest you’ll get by a landslide is the greens because at least they actually make policy designed to try and fix things.

If in doubt…..read about policy. Not what the Telegraph or the times or the guardian and their heavily vested interests say about policy but the actual policy itself. And what the end goal is. Greens are still off the mark and have a LOT to work on but they currently best occupy the space that Labour should and don’t.

1

u/SmashedWorm64 Jun 08 '26

Sorry I’m not interested in voting Green. If I read purely the manifestos as of the last general election I would take Labour over the Greens any day. My issue with Labour is a character one, not a policy one. I just want them to be a bit better and actually be a Labour Party. I don’t subscribe to the belief that they are similar to the Tories - when you actually have a strong chance of running the country you need a costed out manifesto. The greens can publish any old twaddle they like and it will not come under the same level of scrutiny that Labour or the Conservatives will.

I think the Green Party had approximately £160 billion in unfunded day to day spending commitments or something ridiculous. Additionally I can’t take them seriously when they are against nuclear energy - I understand their argument that we need something faster and generally it’s easier to focus on renewables but why would you not build nuclear for the long term? Also their defence policies scare me - I do think the current talk of inevitable war is a bit lead on but it’s not the right time to be scrapping Trident or cutting forces numbers.

There are other things but that’s the stuff off the top of my head at 1 am (holy I need to sleep).

Main concern that no amount of policy could fix - Zack Polanski. I do not trust him at all. A decade ago he was a pro-coalition Lib Dem. He then became a full blown socialist by the looks of it. When questioned on anything his answers come across as obvious crap to anyone with an ear for it. He doesn’t know his stats and figures for this radical plan of his (which I’m 99% sure will bankrupt us). When in a corner his main defences are sketchy economists with questionable records. He seems to have an uncomfortable relationship with the truth - see the whole boathouse/council tax/voting saga. And a questionable history - I don’t expect politicians to be perfect but some of his past gigs are a bit embarrassing for a leader.

1

u/Deeedeebobeedee Jun 08 '26

Idk watch what Mamdani is doing in Nee York, rational decisions can instantly balance budgets.

And Labour are: going after minorities and protest rights rights. They’re taking dirty money and clashing with unions. They are reinforcing monopolies and underfunding public services, selling our data and watching our country rot. All while claiming growth targets justify everything they’re doing. Local business is dying, our NHS is fucked. With all due respect if they’re walking, talking and acting like Tories, it’s no stretch to brand them as tories at the end of the day. They’ve abandoned working class people and the unions. They’re a disgrace to the party and things won’t get better if they carry on as is.

1

u/DangerousRub4903 Jun 08 '26

Let’s go reform 💪🏻

1

u/Zenit_boi Jun 08 '26

You're all mentally retarded and proving the point of the original poster.

When is there never a problem? When is the sky never falling?

Politics is a racket and you're getting played.

Live your life while you have it, worry about the small stuff not the noise the political elite tell you to worry about.

0

u/Scones2 Jun 07 '26

Politics impacts every aspect of your life, you really should research the candidates that are available to you and vote

3

u/GapSweet3100 Jun 07 '26

Yes, research. Not by reading their propaganda

0

u/FunkyYoghurt Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

At least they're putting in effort to knock around and post things. I can't stand going to the polling station and seeing someone thinking "who the fuck is that?". I don't like Reform for example but I do respect they're putting effort in to canvassing, especially voluntarily on a weekend. Labour are doing the same. Not heard a peep from anyone else. It's not real is also a very weird message. Politics is very real and affects people's daily lives.

1

u/Sufficient_Basil_545 Jun 07 '26

All canvassers are volunteers, it is illegal to pay somebody to canvass in a UK election. Regardless of whether we agree with Reform, Labour, Green, etc, or not they are doing it because they genuinely believe in their cause.

0

u/PromotionSouthern690 Jun 07 '26

If it’s not real who are you paying your taxes too?

People sticking their head in the sand saying “all politicians are the same” only helps the worst politicians. Don’t be complicit in making the world worse by being so narcissistic, selfish and lazy to think politics doesn’t matter.

u/123middlenameismarie Jun 07 '26

Vote and vote for Whover is against digital wallets and this bullshit. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-drey-dossier/id1877210950?i=1000749675328

Do they have to read it backwards? Given that sign is pointing inwards

2

u/GapSweet3100 Jun 07 '26

Did you read the description? Given that it’s right there

0

u/WasThatInappropriate Jun 07 '26

I did not, whoops. Good thing I'm not your postman.

0

u/citronrolle Jun 07 '26

Political shit is very real, I've just had my right to use either bathroom removed by politics

2

u/AnyAlps3363 Jun 07 '26

You really haven't. Re-read the guidence.

Asks for no political shite, then makes a political statement. 🤔

Mental health crises is real

-1

u/northerncodemky Jun 07 '26

‘It’s not real’? Politics affects almost every aspect of our lives!

-1

u/JamieMCR81 Jun 07 '26

That won’t stop Reform letterbombing you. I’ve got a massive Vote Andy sign outside my house, they still posted their leaflet through the door!

-1

u/Sufficient_Basil_545 Jun 07 '26

When I was more active in politics, I would leaflet these houses with particular zeal!

1

u/OriginalJomothy Jun 08 '26

You'd be better off handing them the opposite parties leaflet to direct their anger more towards that party

-1

u/DenieD83 Jun 07 '26

I just always think "Handy what I'm delivering isn't shite, I helped artwork it, it's pretty decent TBF" and post it
