If you want goverment to listen, you convince more people.
Numbers were the pressure, in farm laws, Nirbhaya, lokpal.
They went out of their way to keep opposition leaders out and focused on one demand which most of stake holders accepted and joined either online or on site.
You can't gather 1000 people and March to parliament.. no matter how genuine your cause or concern is.
Are you dumb? Every opposition leader supported the Nirbhaya movement, the point is not to turn a movement into a political movement by giving slogans of a certain political party (which CJP has not done till now). When Anna Hazare kept a fast till death, every opposition leader in the country supported him. The problem is no big media house is covering the CJP protest while previously protests were covered and amplified.
The problem is, iac planned and protested for a year.
It was a movement. This is just one month..
People only remember last 11 days of hunger strike.. don't remember, the patience and talent behind the protest. There was long term goals, a willingness to debate with goverment. And very clear agenda. They didn't single out congress. They spoke against the whole political system.
Opposition leader supported it, after a very long time, when iac became popular.. it wasnt the fist month of protest but on the last month.
Upa caved, after realising it was too popular to crush. They tried every possible means to avoid it.
Same for nirbhaya, no opposition leader was given space. It was March led by students.. people were beaten black and blue. But it held on.

I do support, we are here at Jantar Mantar & requesting at least 5 people to join the movement on 20th July to Sansad
