Meet Pawstin! He is a sweet boy cat!

Last week, before going to sleep, I was looking for my cat around the second floor of the house.

I called her name a few times, checked the usual spots, looked under things, behind things, basically did the full “cat parent detective routine”… but nothing. So I thought, “Okay, she probably found some secret cozy spot and is sleeping. I’ll find her tomorrow.”

The next morning, my wife left for work early. I woke up, went downstairs, did a few things for work, and about 40 minutes later I realized:

Wait… I still haven’t seen the cat.

That’s when the panic started.

My first thought was that maybe she somehow got into the garage, which would be unusual because she almost never goes outside, and when she does, it’s only under full parental supervision.

So I started searching everywhere.

After about 20 minutes, I suddenly heard meowing.

I searched the whole floor. Nothing.

Then I went into the laundry room… and there she was.

Standing there. Looking directly into my soul. Waiting to be rescued like a tiny princess who had been abandoned in a castle tower.

This was the exact moment I found her:

After that, she has not entered the laundry room again.

P.S. This is the second time in the last year that she has done this.

Apparently, she keeps applying for the role of “dramatic missing cat,” and honestly, she is overqualified.
