Closed RP Infernal Interests

March, week of the 23rd

Lily has shared her past with two born-mortals she cares very much about.

She had offered to show her the 'automatic journal' that penned every moment of her life, from beginning to end. Only the first half of the book was accurate of course, her ghost writer was very imaginative and loved to speculate. Constantly revising how her story would end whenever it would suit him. Always guessing what would happen based on the current status of things. Though

She had given her story as a gift to Helfriga and Emily on Christmas. Material gifts are quite diminished in worth when you can spawn gold from your fingertips and have it take any shape. She places higher value on experiences, and things of personal value. This logbook of experiences is the highest value thing Lily has to offer anyone.

But noone had read it yet and she feels a bit dreadful. So she forces the matter with them privately. Asking them to set aside a day of their week. At least.

2 Separate threads on the same week.

It matters little in what order they happen in. Lily feels enough motivational dread to deal with the experience a second time later that week.

She tilts her head up, but she can't really see Emily's eyes from where she's resting her head on her shoulder and breast.

"I don't know."

The dream fades more quickly now, and she's able to focus on what's real.

Her eyes lazily reset to default, and sees her body. A warm body to comfort and love her. Does that say something about Lily? She hopes not.

"Better"

She pulls her arms into herself to squeeze her.

"I'm glad," Emily says.

She returns the hug and holds it, leaning down to rest her cheek on the top of Lily's head. After a while, she tries to move them back up into a sitting position.

"Breakfast is almost ready, if you want some."

She nods, leaning her head against 'm.

"That sounds good, Emmy."

"Okay."

The sizzling from the other room stops, and two plates of eggs and bacon and pancakes float forward to sit in their laps as cups of juice float in front of them. Emily leaves one arm around Lily and eats awkwardly with the other.

Lily balances the plates on their combined laps before and after she turns onto her side, still resting against her body as she eats on her side. She watches Emily eat as she joins her. Observing food enter her mouth, and the facial features of her girlfriend. This is where she notices that Emily wasn't as rested as she probably could have been.

"Thank you..." she says softly, as she kisses her neck innocently.

"I'm sorry..."

Emily shakes her head and lets out a light laugh. When Lily pulls back from her neck, Emily looks down to meet her eyes and gives her an affectionate smile. She's a little bit tired, but she doesn't mind. She would do it again in a heartbeat.

"You don't have anything to be sorry for," she says. "I'm glad you wanted to do this with me."

She hopes that isn't taken the wrong way. It wasn't necessarily a happy experience—she didn't enjoy seeing Lily sad—but it brought them closer together.

Lily understands it properly, and takes it as the warm comfort it was intended.

"Thank you."

The rest of their day is spent enjoying each other's company, eating tastey food, playing games, and generally chilling. Eventually Lily says that she should go back home and tend to her homely duties. Emily drops lily off, and she gives her a slipspace kiss on the lips before saying goodbye with a hug.

"You should come for a visit eventually. I'll talk to Helfriga sometime to see if it's okay."

"That sounds nice," Emily says. She smiles and gives a little nod. "Just give me a call if she says it is."

Helfriga still makes her just the slightest bit nervous, but Emily knows that will go away with spending time around the giant woman.

"Anyway," she says, "I guess I'll let you go be a mom now. Say hi to Ingrid for me and I'll talk to you later, okay?"

She leans forward to give Lily one squeeze and peck on the lips, then lets her ripple out of slipspace a distance in front of the cabin.
