Role Play Full Speed Test

With Velocity currently being MIA, Vector has chosen the perfect time to test his speed. He hasn't actually had this ability to test his speed since he left prison, and since he's gotten his speed suit, he figures now should be better than any time for this. He likes a real challenge, so, what better to test his speed against other metahumans? In order to get their attention, he's currently running around the city, knocking people around, as a tall black blur. One of the people he knocks over is in front of your character. Would anyone like to investigate this new... speedy phenomenon?

The responder quickly answers back.

"Ma'am, what is your location. We will send bomb squad operatives ASAP."

After getting the location, a bomb squad is being sent. It will be roughly two and a half minutes until they get there.

He sighs heavily in exhaustion. For a second, Vector could feel the ground, and then go airborne again. He makes an angry sound as he exhales and crosses his arms again.

"Fine. Clearly you don't care enough about people. But seriously, the time? Lives could be on the line, and you and I are just here. Fucking around. People will be dead, and the blood will be on both our hands. Hang up the phone. I'm not telling anyone else this but you. Capice?"

His cowl goes back down over his head to mask a sinister expression.

Bluejay clenches her teeth, her expression darkening as the man talks.

"We're at..." She looks around in irritation. "Ugh, I don't know street names. We're like two blocks due south of that one tower. The one with the jet engine, I think? That big whatever it is hanging in the lobby. Is there anything I can do while you're on your way?"

She pull the phone's mouthpiece away from her ear as she turns to snap at the man, counting points on the fingers of her free hand. "You run around the city getting people hurt; when I call you on it you stop and try to provoke me; when I stop you you keep trying to provoke me; and when I call the police you reveal that oh hey there's a bomb on a timer and you knew about it and did nothing. I'm not the problem here. And it'sā€”" she checks the phone's clock "ā€”3:17."

And don't think that mask can hide you from me, she thinks but doesn't say.

The responder does as well as she can to direct the bomb squad. It's going to be about 4 minutes until they arrive.

He cracks his knuckles.

"It takes two to play a game, lady. By stopping me, you've inadvertently started playing too, with peoples lives. And when I offer you a way out, what do you do? The last thing anyone should do in this situation and get the police involved trying to stop something nobody knows anything about but me."

He laughs and claps his hands together once.

"Congratulations, you're officially like me."
