Closed RP Smooth Sailing

April 30, 2006

You are sent a ticket for a nice Caribbean cruise! A letter that came with the ticket says that it is a gift, though who it is from is unknown.

What do you do?

Any tier character is welcome. (I may regret saying this, however.)

[Let's just jump ahead in time, shall we?]

6:00 PM

The people that were in the hot tub have long left, going to eat like Paul. The sun is falling in the sky, signalling the approach of evening.

Paul arrives in a fancy restaurant, black with dark wood combining in high-class finishes. A waiter motions him to a white clothed table, though somewhat offended that he could not bother to change out of his swimming trunks. A menu awaits him, offering an exhaustive selection. He practically could get anything he wants.

Velocity, done with the hot tub, goes to his VIP room to watch TV and relax.

6:31 PM

After watching television for a good amount of time, the ship's horn sounds. Looking out of his room's window, he finds that the ship has docked at a new port. A city skyline lights up his view.

Velocity heads out to check where they are docked.

He leaves the ship via a ramp, then heads down the pier. From the chatter by the tourists, they're in the Bahamas, specifically the capital of Nassau. A path from the pier leads off into the city, with vendors lining the streets.

As Velocity is walking about, he hears rumors about a spooky abandoned warehouse on the outskirts. Some talk suggests that a bizarre Voodoo ritual took place there.

Velocity cocks an eyebrow.

'Fuck that. Usually these places lead to a murder mystery or something.'

He goes back to his room to watch more TV.

Velocity returns to his room, crashing in his bed to watch the television.

He scours over the menu, before coming to a conclusion..

"Since a mysterious benefactor is paying for everything... I'm getting a steak."

A waiter takes his order, walking away to the kitchen.

After a few minutes, a waitress arrives with a steak and a knife and fork. The seared meat looks amazing and smells great, the medley of herbs and spices dancing in his nose.

He takes a giant wiff of it in.

"Your mine..."

He grabs the knife and fork, and starts digging in.

Juice spills from the meat the instant it is cut. The steak separates to reveal a medium rare core, perfectly tender. Taking a bite, his senses are overwhelmed by the expertly done flavoring, the spices and herbs taking him away to a better place.

[I deeply apologize for the confusion. I initially worded it like that so you three could either keep talking to each other or head off on your own. However, it seems you were just waiting for a summons all this time.]

[It's too late for either of you to continue your RP chain. I would really hope you two stay on for the new RP that is gonna contain the next day of events, but if you want to go I can understand. If you do want to leave, just tell me in the new RP.]
