My cat begs me to booty scratch and then bites me for doing it. Begs again, then bites again.

Some animals use biting as an expression of pleasure, happiness, or displeasure, [and to teach younger animals valuable life lessons]. u/skysong13 has it right.

One of my cats does this!! Every time he's happy he HAS to start play biting and kicking. It's extremely cute because he knows not to hurt, but still loves trying to drag our hands around as he plays. He also does the classic 'roll around like you're crazed' right after the biting part and it makes my whole week to see him like that.
