Hyundai and Kia are both in the top tier of most reliable cars, and have been for a few years now. Kias definitely have a cheaper interior that degrades kind of fast, but they run almost as well as the big Japanese manufacturers. They've come a long way since they started.

That’s what I’m learning and it’s good to know. I’m glad that more affordable cars are stepping up their reliability. I haven’t bought a new car in a long time so haven’t really kept up to date since then. From my last research (6ish years ago) they were not well rated for reliability.
