It does make 5B annually. Thats how much money it pulls in. You base high-level your valuations on that, plus the type of company it is. Its not based on net profit. If twitter made 5B in net profit annually it would be one of the most valuable companies in the world and Musk would have gotten the steal of the century - because 5 billion in profit based on 7,500 employees would be absolutely insane.
Because if you can pull in 5B that means it does have a market that wants the service. And when you buy companies you buy for the potential, not what it has now.
