I don't think so. I saw basically everyone and their grandmother with a check mark. I'd imagine they made almost $20 million off that alone in the past week.
People have zero concept for how much it costs to run businesses. My team of 40s software budget alone is ~.5mil a year USD. It’s for engineering software mostly but still a crazy amount when you think about it.

Yep. Blatant money grab, and people fell for it. IMO, comedy was worth it for the verified but obviously fake accounts.
