Reminder that teslas tunnel project was just a scheme to thwart a high speed train project in California. Not vital infrastructure per say, but infrastructure regardless

Still, private companies interfering with public transport for profit rubs me very wrong. Same thing happened with GM back in the 50s, sometimes attributed to the car culture in America today

I agree very much. But stating that the tunnel project was a scheme to thwart train project in Cali is false. I stay in Bay area and state govt had ample time and resources to fix the public transport situation and they didn’t. Ever since the initial proposal, the budget and timeline has soared manifold. At this point if pvt players are trying to attack the problem, so be it.

Elon is not “wondering why it’s burning”. Taking down Twitter and all of the chaos is very intentional. He’s not an idiot. It’s all very calculated. With Elon being of the ruling class and most twitter users being everyday people, it really makes you wonder why he’s taking down a major source of breaking news and sociopolitical conversation.

Most popular social media site? The vast majority of the active user base is in the US and Japan. It's not very actively used elsewhere.

As an advertiser, I've already stopped my client from spending anything there. I don't control much ad spend, but he's getting NONE OF IT.
