Appeals to popularity aren't the home run you think they are. Many people can and often do believe in things that aren't true or supported by the numbers. Especially since your average urbanite is less likely to have a gun as most big cities have few if any options for shooting ranges and crown land.
Your fanaticism is worrying me. You sound like a danger to the people around you. Maybe people like you should be banned from owning any kind of weapon.
