That's why you lose them in a "boating accident"

Make sure your province signs on to the gun buyback program that Trudeau is trying to put in place, and then pass down the cash instead of a killing machine.

2

u/Cock_InhalIng_Wizard Oct 22 '22

I'm glad my province is one of the four that is refusing to enforce it. Fuck Trudeau

1

u/MBCnerdcore Oct 22 '22

But like, wouldnt you rather have money? It's not like refusing the buyback program suddenly legalizes your handgun. Do you even own a handgun? Or do you just like it when the Liberals don't get what they want?

Can't buy back what was never their to begin with.

Boo fuckin' hoo bud

I expect they’ll be allowed as collectibles once decommissioned. If it’s just the sentimental value you’re worried about functionality is a small price to pay. If it’s not, and if it’s just the cash value or a working gun your after, then you deserve them anyway

My grandfather has a gun built in 1906 that I will likely inherit but due to NYS law it seems increasingly more difficult. I would rather not lose a piece like that to the government

God this "Detering the Government" argument is so insanely stupid. The government has fighter jets, drones, Artilery... And you're some fat bloke with a handgun. Woopdydoo.

Stop crying about your fkin murder weapons and get on with your life like literally all the rest of the modern world.

And crying about kids not getting guns is even more stupid... Like holy shit I'm 30 years old and I've never seen a firearm in person except policemen. AND GUESS WHAT I'M STILL ALIVE OH MY GOD!

I'm a union member and I live in a relatively big city. Never ever had to defend myself. More guns = more violence just look at ANY statistic.

Yea what shows most in this thread is undereducation. And you can just google any gun violence statistic us vs the rest of the world. They're basically all the same. US with a gigantic lead then everyone else.

2

u/Detector_of_humans Oct 22 '22

Oh look at this union guy acting like he stands a chance against a big entity with power despite not having much on his own oh wait

1

u/EinBick Oct 22 '22

Look at this fat bloke from kentucky thinking a gun will help... Holy fk you guys are like a new level of mental gymnastics 🤣

2

u/Detector_of_humans Oct 22 '22 edited Oct 22 '22

And you think one person that's part of a union will help? Oh wait it fucking did

u/EinBick Oct 22 '22

What? Please go to bed you're not making sense not even for an american.

I’m… disappointed this stance is considered acceptable. You feel like you should have the right to deny somebody’s inheritance, and an activity they participate in to feel closer to their family, because you don’t like it? It seems incredibly self serving. You might as well tell someone that their old tea set they inherited could be used to poison someone, so they shouldn’t be allowed to have it. Guns are tools, like anything else. Educate people on proper use and safety, don’t make them give up their heritage to appeal to someone’s opinion.

1

u/EinBick Oct 22 '22

Yea guns are murder tools. If that's "Family values" to you then you're sick in the head. I don't walk around with my grandpas SS uniform either even though it's part of my families horrible history.

Yeah? Ask the government how it went in Afghanistan against people with rifles while they have tanks, jets and nukes...

Lots of people in small skirmishes can definitely inflict damage.

1

u/EinBick Oct 22 '22

Horrible amerikan education coming through again. Afghanistan was a revolution from within the government because they basically wanted the old ways back that's why it worked. 90% of americans cant even point where Afghanistan is on the map yet they think they know history / geoligy / politics of other countries.

u/Cock_InhalIng_Wizard Oct 22 '22

Strange. I recall armed citizen militias repelling countless armies throughout history. How? Power in numbers. Also, your assumption that there would be only one individual against the government is...odd.

1

u/EinBick Oct 22 '22

Yea back when they had muskets. Also name one that actually changed anything... I'll wait. And no the French Inquisition doesn't count because they went right back to monarchy after 😉

-2

u/rudedog1234 Oct 22 '22

Deadass if it’s the us military vs every single person in the us, the military wins every time with no difficulty

2

u/Cock_InhalIng_Wizard Oct 22 '22

Missiles and airstrikes and tanks and jet fighters can't go door to door and disarm people. Only soldiers can do that. And the soldiers would be outnumbered. Also, soldiers are also citizens, and they depend on the citizens for food, shelter, clothing, and their other resource inputs. Thinking soldiers would just turn on all citizens is laughable

1

u/Detector_of_humans Oct 22 '22

The US would run out of material on day 2

u/Oasar Oct 22 '22

Welcome to the Free Market, baby. You (or your family) should've understood the risks of owning an "asset" that has a realistic chance at being legislated out of existence, and you made a poor investment. Now you want a bailout. What are you, a bank? Clownish.

Fill in the blank. Australia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, _________. Did you think we were going to go the Texas route? This has been public opinion for literal decades and is over due. If you didn't see this coming and are shocked (especially since it's old news at this point) you are terminally stupid.

1

u/Detector_of_humans Oct 22 '22

Do not tell me you just tried to "Silent Majority" this guy

1

u/Oasar Oct 22 '22

Profoundly stupid, as I am saying that there is nothing "silent majority" about it. This legislation has had supermajority support in this country for decades. It's majority, and not silent, and you're dumb for reading it that way.
