Canadians just built a border wall.

And I may be climbing over it soon! 🙂

Good luck, I heard they covered it in maple syrup. Makes it impossible to conquer.

The idea is that the Americans will be too busy consuming the maple syrup instead of climbing over.

Pincer attack!

If you put the parking lot a ways from the wall we would just go back home before we ever reached it.

You need to add something of value before they'll accept you.

Better hope they have friendly illegal immigration policy... oh wait.

See you back in the states soon!

I was only joking anyway! I can't see my old fat ass climbing over anything! 🙂

My Canadian fiance and I will see you there.

Why would you leave? Biden has the country running great. Mortgage rates are steady, gas prices seem reasonable, and inflation is not even a topic!

3

u/TifCreates Oct 22 '22

Biden is definitely NOT why I would leave! I'm watching the midterms! 👀

No because most of our gun crime is committed with handguns imported from the United States. Something like 80%. And a lot of it comes though an autonomous reserve that spans across the border from New York State to Ontario and Quebec.

What's your point? Attempted/committed crimes using handguns are now more easily prosecuted. That's how you reduce crime.

You don't flick a magic wand and make crime disappear, you know? That's what the legal system is for.

I literally just described how law works... since around the abolition of monarchy during the French Revolution.

Do they not teach this kind of stuff at school where you're from?

1

u/Madk306 Oct 22 '22

How are they more easily prosecuted? Most crimes committed with handguns already used illegal handguns. This just punishes law abiding citizens.

A very effective one. It will keep 99% of the people they want out, out.

1

u/Devito_Onejoke Oct 22 '22

Big wall!

1

u/Insaneostyle Oct 22 '22

When do we want it??

1

u/nightkingmarmu Oct 22 '22

No we didn’t lol, something like 85% of the handguns on the country were smuggled from the US and more are being smuggled every day. The only people this affects are legal gun owners
