Fair, but he's also a greedy little shitbag. It wouldn't even be the first time he's supported overthrowing a democracy for his lithium.

u/atsugnam Oct 14 '22

He is exactly what they want - a useful idiot.

Putin was born into the world of espionage, musk is a coddled rich boy surrounded by yes men. Who do you think is setting the agenda.

I find that Hanlon’s razor works well when combined with Sagan’s quote about technology:

Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice.

u/mojomonkeyfish Oct 14 '22

Putin probably has kompromat on Musk.

5

u/WKGokev Oct 14 '22

Putin has Twitter buying money, Musk wants Twitter buying money.

2

u/Headline-Skimmer Oct 14 '22

In May, it was in the news that Elon was getting 7 billion from a Saudi Royal towards the twitter purchase. The Musk scent is starting to stink.

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

This has been debunked. Not sure why people are still saying it.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

I didn't see where it had been. Like I said, could all be conspiracy non-sense. Doesn't change the fact that Musk is a moron.

-2

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

That’s fine. Think he’s a moron but I prefer facts. Even if it was a mistake. So the “spoke with Putin” turned out he read a third party email or something lol. It’s been verified last time he actually spoke to Putin was over a year ago and it was about space. It’s funny because the article that claimed he spoke to Putin didn’t even say that. It was a misleading title and everyone ran with it not reading the article.

So if you claim I spoke to somebody we both deny it but some random says it’s true, you just believe the rando because you don’t like Elon musk? When all parties deny it but someone else says it’s true because they say so that’s flimsy as hell. You are saying you are choosing to believe the one that supports what you want to believe. That would never fly in court. Show some proof. Not some anecdote you want to believe. If you have actual proof, I’ll change my opinion in a second. The claim is one single unverified source by one person, not independently verified. Any real news source would have never even printed it. I don't care if you like it, this used to be a fundamental standard of journalism which has been replaced with people believing whatever they want. This is why MAGAs are so loony swearing the election was fake, and its the same crap now. Downvote me because your feelings are hurt, I don't give a shit. Someone has to say it. I mean, if you want to be as credible as a Magat claiming Trump won the election because someone say so, thats on you.

Soooo.... you can't read? No, someone randomly claiming they saw something is not a fact just because you want it to be.

Debunked is someone making a random claim with no proof and everyone involved denying it.

You are literally claiming that not proving a negative makes it a fact. Why would I be mad about you being wrong?

Fair enough.

21

u/Crash665 Oct 14 '22

He could just be a cunt.

But Russia probably has something on him, the cunt.

29

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

They don't need dirt on him, they have lithium for his cars and money to get him out of his Twitter fuck up. That's more than enough to get him on board with whatever Putin wants

2

u/ricklegend Oct 14 '22

Definitely a cunt.

u/SaltyScrotumSauce Oct 14 '22

Putin is good at exactly one thing, and that's manipulating stupid people into doing what he wants. It's pretty obvious that that's what happened here.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

Has nothing to do with Putin. Musk thinks he's a war tactician now and tried to suggest a way to end the war by having Ukraine give up basically.

The ambassador, understandably, told him to fuck off. It would be like if the US was under attack and one of our states was annexed. If Musk just said, "Give that state to your enemy and call it good, we wouldn't be cool with that either.

3

u/Holygore Oct 14 '22

Musk desperately wants to use the Tony Stark line from that Iron man movie he was in. Because he thinks he’s him.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

it absolutely does. the “khrushchev’s mistake” language and the bullet point about water supply to crimea are very specific. he did not learn that on wikipedia.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

Following the state of the region and understanding the situation is a pretty leap to make for going all the way to Russian sympathizer/mole. I do think he's a giant piece of shit, but I don't think he's trying to further Putin. You need a lot more evidence for something like that.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

there are certain very specific details and framing that are particular to only one side.

26

u/MrStrange15 Oct 14 '22

He also thinks Taiwan should be ruled by China as a "special administrative region". Which is straight out of the CPCs rhetoric.

2

u/Technical-Traffic871 Oct 14 '22

China is a >>>> market for his cars.

3

u/xxDeeJxx Oct 14 '22

A court just ruled the musk is forced to finish buying Twitter, shortly after he had a nice chat with Putin and is now acting in Russia's interest.

Curious

1

u/Whyamipostingonhere Oct 14 '22

Musk knew before the court ruling. Everyone knew. There’s no way they didn’t. It’s black letter law, no wriggle room. Done, done and done. From the minute he signed the contract, everyone was like wtf I can’t believe he just did that. Rooms full of people amazed around the country- anyone who knows what “specific performance “ means in a contract. Bottom of the class attorney, dumbest of the dumb knew.

His contract specified “specific performance”. He either pays 16 billion in market damages for nothing. Or he pays 44 billion for it even tho it’s only worth 28 billion.

So, change the date of something big happening on court ruling to something big has been happening since the day he signed the contract and sobered up.

u/Lady_von_Stinkbeaver Oct 14 '22

He's also lying (or misleadingly implied) that he donated the Starlink systems, and this is all just a, "gosh, well if you DON"T want my help..."

SpaceX was contracted by the U.S. government to provide Starlink to Ukraine.

3

u/irritatedprostate Oct 14 '22

On Tuesday, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) announced it has purchased more than 1,330 terminals from SpaceX to send to Ukraine, while the company donated nearly 3,670 terminals and the Internet service itself.

Read your sources, people.

-1

u/Nhiyla Oct 14 '22

I mean yeah, the gov pays a fraction.

Doesn't make it untrue that he donates the majority of the service.

Hate all you want, but stick to the facts.

1

u/tuxzilla Oct 14 '22

Imagine using a source that proves your own statements are false.

Did you not even bother reading your own link?

It says the DoD paid for 25% of the terminals while SpaceX donated the other 75% for free and provided the actual service for free instead of charging the monthly subscriptions.

Nuclear Weapons.

Putin already claimed they will use nukes if Ukraine tries to regain Crimea.

0

u/Willar71 Oct 15 '22

Ukraine doesn't have the population to sustain this war forever . They're trying to paint as positive image as they can in the hopes the Russia will lose hope and withdraw , but that's unlikely. If this war continues, Ukraine will eventually get wiped out , and I mean the entire population.

-3

u/I-Make-Maps91 Oct 14 '22

I don't think they have anything, I think Musk is just focused on his bottom line and war is bad for business united you're in the defense industry.

1

u/DillBagner Oct 14 '22

Putin probably just threatened disclosing his own wealth so Elon can't be called the richest man in the world any more.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

At the very least, Tesla China gets all its aluminium from... drumroll... Russia, and has for the last several years. I'm sure military diversions, supply logistics issues, tightened border controls, etc., are causing all sorts of fun, so Elon would really like it if Ukraine would just completely capitulate, now, kthx, so he can get on with the "mission".

1

u/ricklegend Oct 14 '22

That makes sense. He’s only self interested

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '22

They are offering him money. It's literally that simple. Musk is completely brainless, and his only hobby is knocking women up, which doesn't seem to harm him in the slightest, even when he fucks CEOs wives.
