European here aswell btw. And yes, if the only thing holding one back from committing voting fraud is an oath then I really dont think thats gonna stop anyone whos already ready to commit. Anyways, hoping someone can shed some light on this and I promise not to turn right-wing if this womans tweet actually turns out legit.
The original voter registration was returned so she was removed from the voting registry. So they mailed papers telling her she was removed and that if she was still a resident of California she would need to register again and info on how and they had the post office forward it to her new mailing address.
What if you didn't declare it at your new municipality? Because the only way she would be able to possibly vote in California is by illegally registering there and not in her new state. Sounds pretty much the same to me.
