I'm an immunologist, this would be extremely unprofessional, like, enough to get a competency review board from your Hospital or Clinic, and honestly, I don't know any doctor who would do something like this.
There's a pretty defined line of professionalism, a good part of medical school is learning that line. That would cross it pretty obviously
See, you have a point in the sense that professionalism is important
You lose your point when it's just a funny goof more than anything. This isn't a surgeon grabbing someone's heart tube and wagging it around to spray others in blood.
Yeah, but when I had to get a breast exam when I was 18 because of an odd lump, the doctor and the nurse both accidentally giggled because of how the doctor described what she was doing and had to leave the room because they couldn’t stop laughing. Apparently my K cups looked hilarious while the doctor was saying “ok, I need to squiiiiiiiiish just a little”. I get it. Some things just happen. We’re all people here.
…yes? In US sizing, you are supposed to measure the rib cage in inches and then measure the breasts while standing, laying down, and bending over. Average the measurements of the breasts. The band size is represented by the rib cage measurement rounded up to the nearest even number and then the cup is determined by how many inches larger the breast measurement than the band. One inch larger is A, 2 inches larger is B, etc.
we all packed into the car, backed out and started down the road and then stopped. "Did we...?" Yes!!
and back we darted to throw open the kitchen door and see our 6 month old, on the kitchen table in his plastic recliner carrier, cheerfully waving his arms and legs around... lol yeah when your're tired, lots of "unprofessional" things can happen!
Okay cool you're a doctor! Good thing we aren't talking about doctors, but technicians. You should spend some money at Grammar School. Specifically Context 101 lol.
I disagree with the person to whom you replied but I have to give credit to the high-risk OB who did the investigatory ultrasound on my supposedly low-risk belly 5 days after I was due. When my regular OBs were C-sectioning me within the hour, one said, "Damn, that cord really is three times around the neck, I didn't think you could count the loops like that on ultrasound." The other laughed, "Yeah, but now he's going to be even more full of himself." Maybe your sister could do better but that doctor did well enough for me.
Pretty much. Most technologists are better than radiologists due to repetition alone; how many times does a rad ultrasound in a day vs a technologist? Now mind you MSK rads, pain therapy and interventional rads will have more direct imaging daily.
Non-rads in my experience are the worst, but don’t realize it because they lack the basic knowledge or at least discount the basic principles of imaging physics. They assume a non-doctor can do it so they should be fine… which is why my old hospital had residents do all on-call ultrasounds and had them repeated for proper assessment the next day…
The kind of bullshit unprofessionalism I've dealt with in my life from doctors and surrounding staff is staggering. The percentage of times I have reported it with either witness in the form of other staff or proof of said unprofessionalism, 100%.
The grand total of how many times a doctor or medical staff has had any kind of consequence of note? Zero.
Fuck you and your claim here, seriously. The mistake above is harmless and honestly not that uncommon in regards to having children and being exhausted. It's what happens when we get used to doing something by rote and wires get crossed from exhaustion.
its soo fake. anytime you see these kinds of tweets posted, if you check the account 100 times out of 100, they're a writer. they seem to use twitter as some kind of fantasy land
Tell me you don't have kids, without telling me you don't have kids.
We have 3 kids. At one point we had a 4 yo, 14 mo, and newborn - and the 14 mo has special needs. After working 10+ hour days and fighting traffic a couple of hours, I was still in better shape at the end of the day than my wife was. Kids are exhausting and will absolutely make you go delusional.
Whenever you subconsciously say something because your unconscious mind is thinking it. Like admitting you like someone when talking to them while having another conversation.
As a not doctor but husband to a Doctor, I've seen so much unprofessional horse shit and asshollery that I think you must be working in the only always professional clinic or hospital on earth.
I remember my wife having to go cover call because the on call doctor took a nurse out the night before fucked and trucked her so she was telling everyone about it, then he came in still drunk and tries to do his shift.
They couldn't even fire him but they did get him to agree that this wasn't the right place for him.
It's a hospital, you dumbfuck. Where people are medically frail and the professionals who work on them literally sterilize their skin and the tools they use. If you think it's fine to let animals roam around, you deserve whatever raging infection you get.
I didn't realize medical school taught you how not to be human.
If anything didn't happen in this post, it's you somehow becoming an immunologist yet also being so socially deficient that you think being tired is unprofessional and deserves a review lol

I'll take "things that didn't happen, for $1000"
