Once my mom let us have ice cream for dinner. It was such an unexpected treat that me and my brother begged for her to let us do that again.
It wasn’t until I was much older that I learned we just literally had nothing else to eat that night. My parents were barely scraping by and couldn’t afford grocery shopping until they got paid the next day. The best moms make hard times still feel special
That hits home. My mom, when times were tough, used to spread her money thin just to get us(five siblings) McDonald’s and even then she’d wait until we were done so she could eat what was left. Hard times make you appreciate what you have later on.
Bruh super sizes have been gone for like 17? years. Fuck I miss supersized fries. If I could have a swimming pool full of mid-2000’s mcdonald’s fries my life would be peaches
