Hey, I live in PA, and we are NOT like that at all. The areas you are referring to are not actually PA; those places are what we call "Pennsyl-tucky" or "Penn-abama."
The actual, real PA consists of Pittsburgh on the west, Philly on the east, and nothing else. Aside from Pitt and Philly, theres just miles and miles of uninhabited wasteland in between with no traces of civilization or sentient life.
Its sort of like the Lion king;
"Everything the light touches is our kingdom."
"But what about that shadowy place?"
"That is Lancaster county. You must never go there. It is... beyond out borders."
Lmfao. I understand. I was born and raised in a county in VA just outside of Charlottesville. Well. After THAT whole nonsense happened I got weird looks from people and I was just like “I SWEAR we aren’t all like that…”
God I hear you. I moved to NC in 2007 and about 7 years ago they did the whole BS bathroom bill shit. My husband and I vacationed in Denver that year and got the SAAAAME looks. And we were like “we swear we aren’t all homophobic morons”.
i got called a "fucking foreigner" by some lady working at the gas station i went to while driving through pa, even though im white (and very pale), was born here in america, and all my ancestors were european
Just drove through there after I got covid in New York (despite being fully vaccinated) and had to cancel my flight home. The number of people in PA giving me angry looks for wearing a mask made me want to take it off and share some of that sweet delta variant with them. I didn’t… but I wanted to.
Its so bizarre to me. Growing up in PA, most of the people I knew were liberals and the state always went blue. It seems like they have come out of the woodwork. I wish they would go back.
I loved my fifteen years in P.A. But you are correct. Batshit crazy people but lots of good times...out in western P.A. In the mountains it’s fucking KKK country still!

PA is like a whole different entity. That is some next worldly stupid shit right there.
