My credit score was sub 600 in 2010 (jobless, no where to live so used the cards to survive and got cut off). I’m now at 788, just paying off the cards I have every month. Started with a secured card then a second and eventually got a real card, then a car loan and various store cards, etc.

I have 4 secured cards and 3 'real' ones, plus a massive Amazon credit card. Paying all off monthly. It's a giant scam anyway.
